Plumbago

    I have a very straggley 4 ft tall Plumbago. Can anyone suggest what I can do with it please ... like can I cut it back, and how and when etc ... Thank you.

    Now, I've left my latest plumbago out all winter, I think its dead:biggrin:

    I usually cut back hard in autumn before bringing it in, the cut off pieces can be used as hardwood cuttings which slowly root on a cool greenhouse.

    I doubt it would hurt to cut it back now though.

    Would you like some of the pieces to use as cuttings ?

    Nice offer Michael, but plumbago is a plant that has not really been a plant I'm that impressed with, mainly because of habit.
