hopefully I can get outside for a bit. Will gather some sticks and continue to burn a stump out, at the same time have some old financial papers to burn on the pile. Also weed and feeding. cannot believe this one weed can grow on top of the mulch put down last fall, dam.
try to take a walk around with a video for you all, the one garden is busting with blue flowers.

Did a little weeding here and there around the beds and the herb patch.

Planted the Arran Pilot new potatoes.

Sowed some Rudbeckias and Aquilegias in the greenhouse.

Planted up potato bags and built up runner bean supports.

I've sown some verbena bonarisis, echinchea, Dalia bishops children and rubekia ( all spelt wrong I think).

Potted on a miniature buddelia and 5 hardy fuschias all of which came from my old house when I moved. Plan is to put them in the new herbaceous border/area I will be making in the next few weeks. What I don't want I will give to the in laws as they have just revamped their garden.

Did another 50ft of lawn edging and a load of weeding. Then cut back part of a giant Euphorbia (mellifera) as I want to reduce it to just a 6ft diameter and no more than 7ft high. It's a mucky job because of the typical Euphorbia sticky sap. Lots more to be cut yet. :phew:

Then I picked 20lb of rhubarb and have made it into 1lb packs ready for sale tomorrow. That's not too good a job for a bad back :noidea:

Mrs Shiney did loads of pricking out, seed sowing, taking cuttings, potting up and potting on. :hate-shocked:

Weather here yesterday was just horrible, so cold and windy with clouds of fine, misty rain drifting across the fields and the garden. Bought a new cordless strimmer so went outside anyway to test it. Put out more food for birdies and refreshed their drinking water and that was it.

It's been nice and sunny but the brisk breeze made it unpleasant to be outside, so I went into one of my perspex shelters and repotted lots of cuttings I took last year - Box, Lonicera nitida, Euonymus, Crassula ovata ...

@Michael Hewett you have a good number of similar succulents there (Crassulas etc), are they just part of your collection or do you have a outlet?

I had a large C. ovata and it fell and lots of the branches broke, so I used them as cuttings. I don't know what I'll eventually do with them ...

Lush snorky! Mine got eaten :cry3:

Diddly squat been done here except mow the front and back grass and fill bird feeders yesterday.

My fantastic neighbour decided to saw our boundary fence in half..(without telling me and while I was out) and has brought it down to about a 2.5 ft on my side. We can now see everything in each other gardens! :ouch1: :rolleyespink:
