    Aloha everyone,

More meetings today and will also need to get my hair cut. So that's me out of the garden until this afternoon.

@CanadianLori hope the installation goes well. :dbgrtmb:

I may deliver some runner bean orders on the way to my meetings :)

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

        Good day everyone
@shiney the installation went well. I normally wouldn't travel that distance for a job however the lady has been a client and friend for many years. I've worked on her cabin in the states where they go to ski, her home not from mine, and now this cottage.

Today I need to take my sister to the hospital for blood work in preparation for her operation next week. She will be staying with me for awhile during her recuperation period.

It is lovely and warm. We are expecting a cooler front to pull in but it is already 70f - I have a couple of plants that I want to move so may and go out and do it in my jammies before getting cleaned up :ideaIPB: because I am doing laundry this morning before I set out. ;)

Have a safe and nice day :)

Good morning all, doesn't look too good out there at the moment. Perhaps it will brighten later.

              Aloha everyone,

It's brightening up now after the rain and the garden is happy :dbgrtmb:

I didn't like either the Labour or Tory manifestos and shall tell that to the local candidates. I think that the Tories have dropped a clanger with a couple of things they have proposed :nonofinger: and that Corbin is enough of a clanger just on his own :heehee:. although I thought his presentation of his manifesto was the first time that he seemed like a real politician. :)

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!

                Good day everyone
The skies are featuring bright blue with a few wispy clouds. It is only going up to about 60f which will be delightful for puttering around in the garden.

I have a client coming by today to pick up some panels that I had already finished earlier in the week and collecting my money is the full extent of my wage earning work today. I feel like a lady of leisure. :)

I hope you all have as pleasant a day as I am looking forward to!

Good morning all, looks like it is going to be a nice day out there. Steve was working on his fish tank until 3 am this morning. He is so tired he doesn't know whether he is coming or going!

                            Good day everyone
@shiney I shall be there in spirit. I shall be saving up so that perhaps next year if you are up to hosting a Shineyland again, I am able to show up. I spent all my spare money on silly things like home improvements, garden equipment and auto repairs... :rolleyespink:

It is a chilly day here. The plants almost look like they're shivering out there. I do have a few things left to plant out and then those pots to clean.

We're expecting a rainy night tonight and then thunder and rain throughout the day tomorrow. With that in mind, I have spread out the fertilizer and it will be nicely washed in free of charge.

Have a safe and warm day all. :)

                                Aloha everyone,

It's a beautiful morning and we shall go for a walk along the river before getting stuck in to gardening. Most of the potting up is done, but not all. The difficult thing now is finding homes for all the things that are normally left all over the place. :phew:

Then there's all the paperwork and organising in order to make things run smoothly on the day. Just making sure that each money collection point - door, kitchen, raffle, stalls etc. - have a float and that it's all recorded properly, takes time. Plates, serviettes, plastic cutlery, tea, coffee, sugar, butter, jam, cream and all the scones and cakes to be sorted - not to forget washing up liquid and tea-cloths and rubber gloves for the washers up. We've been stocking up on home made cakes and freezing them as we need a lot. Last year we served 273 teas! All the ingredients for the sandwiches for GC and the helpers also need to be organised for five loaves of bread.

Chairs, tables, gazebos, hot water urns, teapots, coffee pots, trays, jugs, cups and loads of other things. Facility for all the different sound systems that will be used. Mustn't forget raffle tickets. Flower arrangements for the tables. Signs to print and hundreds of plant labels to make. Bin available for people to put their used paper plates, serviettes etc. Make sure we have enough toilet paper (Note to self:- get cesspit emptied!)

Notify police (always a must, so that they don't ticket people for obstruction), notify post office to either make sure all mail is delivered, to houses down the road, before 10 a.m. or cancel the deliveries for the day (no room for the post van to park all down the road). Arrange parking for all the helpers in neighbours' driveways. Arrange who is to be the contact for people who come by train so that there is a pickup for them (no taxis at our little station). We even have someone coming from Australia, staying in London, so have sorted out times of trains etc. Make sure there's space in the driveway for the local MP (as he has scope diplegia - cerebral palsy - and osteoarthritis) as he's hoping to turn up despite the upcoming election (bound to do some 'glad handing' if he turns up). Loads of other things to get organise as well. I need a rest after writing this as my brain hurts! :snork:

Keep well and have a great day

                                Aloha!
