      Good day everyone
It rained most of the night and now I am looking at clouds racing across the sky and trees bending with the wind. We needed some free water and the wind is now doing a nice job of drying the leaves on everything.

I just read my cards and it looks like a good day for new experiences. Which fits well with my plans to play with some recipes for gumdrops. I am going to attend a baking and sweets show on Sunday and am getting in the mood to enjoy.

I am also going to a lifestyle show with my sister on Saturday. There will be a "British Isle Zone" that should be fun to visit as well. :)

Have a super day and play nice!

You won't be allowed to use soapy water against aphids in there :yikes:

Hopefully I won't see any green guys:)

Just put away the last of the long garden hoses and the potting table. All that's pretty much left is pots and most still have healthy plants in them.

            Gooooooooood Evening, fellow WW'ers :spinning:

Did some pottering in the garden today, so, not an energetic one :heehee: Mr "M" is on double shift today  he called me yesterday to say there was no staff cover and so he had to work it. I tried to remind him he isn't 35 anymore, but, it fell on stony ground  Of course, when he arrived at work today, it was to the news that his "extension" has been granted (he was  , I was  ). This is his 2nd extension to his retirement date and, as he loves his work so much, he is one happy camper. But, it is a very stressful job; it is shift work; it is extremely demanding - most especially with staff shortages - and I worry for his health. Hey ho! I can but advise and if he chooses to turn a deaf ear .. who am I? :dunno:

Speaking of work: yesterday, I returned my keys for my recently resigned post. There was my own plant to collect plus one a client has brought in for me on the day I left. The plant the client left is a peace lily and it is h.u.g.e.!!!! A very fine plant indeed! My own peace lily, which I had taken in several months ago, was looking a bit neglected, but, it is flowering
There was no ceremony, just handed the plants, my coat hanger and my personal mug
            YUK!:uh-oh: Stained, unwashed, disgusting! :eeew:
Sort of summed up my whole experience there really  I felt a little sad. This is where I have spent the past year: I would arrive an hour before work to a) clean the staff kitchen :th scifD36: and; b) check over the diary for the week past and the week ahead; check over some of the practice protocols; sort through the emails. Normal stuff just to make certain I was on top of the game. I invested my time, my experience and professionalism to that company and while I do not expect any "thanks", returning my mug clean would have been a start: after all, I left it there clean! Ah well, as my mother would say: "Man can't put in what God left out" springs to mind. That does appear to include basic manners in this case. I begin work at the new place next week and I have :fingers crossed: that it will be a vast improvement! Mind you, if colleagues say "Good morning!", that would merit " a vast improvement" :lunapic 130165696578242 5: (The culture of that place was pretty dire!)

@CanadianLori - if you get a spare moment, please would your read my cards? I would welcome a flavour of the year ahead, if that is possible?

            Smiles and vibes for all

Here we go - I am putting my mind to your current task - washing the dirt out of that mug and those co-workers out of your life.. I do a three card reading and sometimes also a one card "today" reading.

Body: You were experiencing a period of trying to physically be everywhere at once. You are now at the stage of Work/Home and your card says you will be able to balance them well.

Mind: Your mind is experiencing freedom of choice at the moment. Be cautious with your mental direction, walk with a feeling of lightness but don't misstep and walk off the edge.

Soul: Your again experiencing an area in the pentacles, those material things, which unfortunately affect everyone's well being. You have gained much by being a hard worker and the card says that diligence and attention to detail will help increase your wealth and provide comfort your soul in regards as taking care of yourself and yours.

                One card reading:
Your card today is from the Major Arcana, Temperance (temperare). It indicates a successful mixing of the elements in your life. Continuity and taking things from your past and hurling them forward to help in the future. This card brings you good health.

Sorry to be slow responding. It takes a little time to read as the cards change their meanings depending on their juxtaposition to others.

Cheers - enjoy a stemware fill, you're on a roll!

                          Aloha everyone,

Another non-gardening day today although they forecast sun. I leave after breakfast for a bridge tournament, arrive home late afternoon and then have bridge club tonight. :phew: I seem to be burning my bridge at both ends! :snorky:

Keep well and have a great day

                          Aloha!

                            Cloudy but mild here.

Bit of metal detecting this morning then off to Devon after lunch.

Its warm and sunny here. Its almost like summer again. Very nice but it is late October. There is no gradual transition into winter these days. When winter comes it hits hard. I like the seasons as they should be.

I probably won't get much gardening done today. If I get the indoor jobs done in time, I might get to venture out later.
