      Aloha everyone,

      All students now here and safely ensconced in the summerhouse. So I'll start prepping the food for lunch. I'm doing a veggie casserole to make things easy for myself. Two big onions, garlic, a giant leek, half a kilo of carrots, two large turnips, three large courgettes, two packs of French beans, one pack of mange tout, cabbage, lots of mushrooms, tomatoes, chick peas, herbs and a glug of Shiraz. Boiled new potatoes to accompany it. Followed by fruit salad of strawberries, melon, blueberries, mango and grapes, and/or apple crumble (apples picked yesterday) gluten free, sugar free and dairy free.

      Mustn't pamper them too much :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

      Keep well and have a great day :biggrin:

      Aloha!

            Good day everyone
            @"M" you are welcome. Looks like you're going to have productive, dynamic and profitable year.

            It is still pitch here and we are expecting rain most of the day but my plans are for playing inside. I think I mentioned before that I am visiting a Zoomer show today - all stuff for older people... I am excited about visiting the British Isle Zone - should be fun. Although stuff for older people + British = ? hope they aren't presenting brussels sprouts left over from the war... that's what my dad used to say to my mother sometimes if the sprouts with Sunday dinner were tough :heehee:

            My sister is going with me and we usually have a good laugh.

            I hope everyone has as pleasant a day as I am planning.

            Safe play everyone please :)

                    Aloha everyone,

                    It was a sunny day yesterday but a bit overcast now with brightness behind it.

                    As we had so many people for lunch yesterday I decided to use the dishwasher (rarely use it) and when I opened the door there was smelly water up to the door edge! :yikes: I don't know what's wrong but had to bail it out (did the washing by hand) but my back gave out before the water was gone. I'm suffering a bit now but it's improving.

                    As I know nothing about these machines I shall have to phone the repair people tomorrow. :sad:

                    We've not had a good week or two with in the plumbing department. The plunger on our spare loo fell apart and our water filter taps needed replacing. Those have now been done - at a price! :rolleyespink:

                    Keep well and have a great day :biggrin:

                    Aloha!

                      Good day everyoe
                      @shiney you might want to check the drain filter in the bottom - it could be clogged and if that's the problem, just clean it and save some money. I used to go to my friend's condo and operate his dishwasher (empty) once a week. Did this for two years whilst he was in the home and in order to keep gaskets from drying out and hardening.

                      We have been promised a semi sunny day today. I'm glad for that as I am having trouble with some lighting still and it is not the timer. I believe I may have another loose connection from the solar panels that is keeping one of the batteries from charging. It will be a bit of fun - tracing and fixing - during the commercial breaks this morning. :)

                      Have a wonderful day everyone and please play safely :)

                        @CanadianLori Thanks. :blue thumb:

                        I had checked the filter but I also need to check to see whether our drains are backed up. :rolleyespink: We're not on mains drainage so occasionally have a problem if they need emptying. This still shouldn't give this effect. :noidea:

                          @shiney

                          The pipe which comes out the dishwasher may be blocked, some times the pipes go to your sink or to any waste pipe, were your dishwaster pipe joins your waste pipe you should be able to take off the pipe and clean it

                          Ours dishwasher pipe go to the kinchen sink just above the u bend and it gets block there with greese and fat from doing the dishes by hand

                          Hope this helps

                                No frost this morning (they said on TV there was!) and the sun is coming up. :SUNsmile:

                                I've a big list of things to do today. They'll have to wait until this afternoon as I'm teaching all morning. :phew: I need a P.A. (sexual harassment not included :whistle:).

                                Keep well and have a great day :biggrin:
