      Aloha everyone,

Good morrow @Zigs on this auspicious sunny, but freezing, morning. May the sun keep your electricity flowing and the wind keep turning your mill. :blue thumb: May your brass monkey not get so cold so that the balls fall off it. :dbgrtmb:

I braved the snow and went for my annual eye test yesterday. I need new lenses, in my glasses, and according to the optician I'm now not competing with the bats with my eyesight. :heehee: The sight in both eyes has improved, though the partial detachment and the floaters are permanent. :noidea: The cost of new bifocals is cheaper than usual at only £60  (think it's something to do with supplying the manager with plants each year :)). That keeps our joint annual spend on eye health within the budget set by our insurers, so they will pay all of it. :hapydancsmil:

I have nothing planned for today and shall work assiduously at fulfilling that commitment. :snorky:

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

        Good morning,

Goodness it's cold here, the snow has almost disappeared but we have a sharp frost.

Last night I faced the after Christmas oven clean, that's another job off my list! :yahoo:

Today I'm going to pop into work, I've not got much to do which is a good thing . I really need to go into town to choose my kitchen floor tiles but I'm not sure if I will get that far! I might be better to clear out my office :dunno:, that's a job I've been putting off for a while.

I hope you are all ok, stay in the warm if you can. Enjoy your day :hapfeet:

@shiney Glad to hear you ventured out and your eye test went ok ...I've got the opticians on my back keep sending reminders  I'm short and long sighted and have spec's for both but the ones I should be wearing permanent all the time as they're tinted I've not worn them in 4yrs of purchasing, can't stand the lodging and supposed to go every year and my new spec's for reading haven't been touched in 2yrs, keep going back to my old ones.

Christ knows what they'll say when I do go :what:

Work was busy today but the traffic was horrendous on the way home - I swear everyone and his wife were out in their cars  took ages to get home. Ozzy greeted me like he hadn't seen me for a week! :doggieshmooze: Well, I suppose in doggy years that may well be the case :heehee:

                  Aloha everyone,

It has been raining heavily here as well. Top of driveway, by road, under 6" of water but there is still snow on the roof and the lawns

@Zigs whilst you're waiting for the weather to ease up you could hang your trousers in front of the car's heater :heehee:

Lots of admin work to do and photos to organise for visas. There are stringent rules on size and shape of photos and size of the jpeg to be sent. They also want a pdf of the bio page of our passports but must be between 10KB and 100KB

No bridge tonight so don't know what to do with my Friday evening :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

Thank goodness it's Friday!!! :hapfeet:

Tomorrow we have a birthday in the house so, I'm still wrapping (oh, how I've learned to dislike *wrapping* by this stage in the game! :thud: ). Yet another day of special meals, raising a glass, oooh-ing and ah-ing and walking around with a smile painted on my face :heehee: Sooooo looking forward to Sunday when I can be a bit grumpy and know it won't upset anyone's day  Erm, actually, Sunday is New Year's Eve! :hate-shocked: Ok, back to the permanent smile for the day then and grumpy-chin Monday  :heehee:

Wishing you all a fun Friday evening :Wino:

                        Good evening folks,

My office had a good clear out yesterday....Kev still has a massive pile of paperwork to clear, but I've cleared mine & filed the paperwork up to date for year end! My halo just gets bigger by the day. Tomorrow I'm going to have a good go at the fourth bedroom, that's my next area to clear! I may not ever come out of there alive! Oh the mess! :gaah: I'm so determined to clear it :dbgrtmb:

I looked after my friends children today, I've been bowling & out for lunch! What a treat!

I hope you are all ok?

                        Xx

                            Aloha everyone,

It's a nice mild morning today and the rain has stopped. So, as there are no longer any leaves on the trees, it's time for the gutters to be cleaned out - but we'll wait until it gets light. :heehee: Being a bungalow we have twice the amount of gutters than a house - and we have the summerhouse gutters to do as well. That's 175ft of gutters! :phew: It's all good stuff for the compost heaps :blue thumb:

Keep well and have a great day

                            Aloha!
