@Telemacus where abouts in the country are you ? unfortunately in most cases like Lowrider said its not suit able for bedding / annual plants to go into a unheated greenhouse at the present moment in time. Your shed maybe handy for some plants with a lid on a night time but not seedling. everybody has the same problem at this time of year with space unless you're fortunate enough to have a heated geenhouse . one way I get round it is to set up the wallpaper table next to a window.

Have you sown the seeds individually in the cell trays or multiple seeds in each cell ?

Hi thanks for the response, I have a platform just under the windows in my shed so the light comes through.

I sewn multiple seeds in each cell due to the lack of space.

@CanadianLori Yes my Aquilegia are perennials, they cheerfully seed all over the garden and every so often I start some new types from seed to maintain the variety. Mine have just started to germinate.

@Telemacus , I think trying to germinate annual seeds in a cool shed at maybe 10°c this time of year , may not be possible. Most annuals need 18°c plus , that is the temp of a warm room. We all struggle for warm space this time of year , can you not find a windowsill for seed germination ?

The only windowsill i can use for seed germination is the one in the kitchen, all the other windows in the house have vertical blinds installed, hence why i would like to use my shed as it would be ideal (if only i could get some nice warm heat in there)

I didn't germinate on the windowsill but on a unit/bookcase to the side of the living room window still bright but not direct light. I have the same issue with wooden blinds.

Would you have any small tables or stools you could trays or pots on near to windows in front of open blinds?

We seem to have two threads running on growing from seed. The other is in Propagation.
