they are getting good sunlight in the daytime as well as led lights so they have everything they need really light wise I guess. I do have another bulb as well though and I have had really good results from that one as well.
I tend to use that 1 bulb as a kick start for plants not doing so well but now I have my fly trap under it... the fly trap is 3 times this size now and the pepper plant it really did come to life with the extra help.

Thank you for the link. I have ordered some of the strips without any accessories. I plan to wire them up direct to DC from my panels/batteries.

Thanks again - got a great bargain!!!

I sowed some Cosmos fizzy rose on Friday morning . Today after less than 48 hours , we have 90% germination and some are over 1" tall ! I thought Zinnia were fast at 3 days .
I will take them off the propagator today , and moving them to a cooler windowsill.

Sowed 3 different types of Zinnias yesterday
and so far today some Amaranthus and Verbena Compact .....that might be all I will do as it's a real wind tunnel round the back where the greenhouse is and things are taking off that shouldn't be!!

Think I will start the search for my Petunia seeds this afternoon, they've been awol for a couple of weeks now.

Take care if you're out in the winds and keep your eyes open for flying objects!

I haven't had a email notification for ages don't know if its something I've done :noidea:

What sort /size of greenhosue lowrider ? small greenhouse have big sways in temperature heat up fast but cool down fast, as long as your around to close the door when its chilly or open it when the sun trying to cook them that fine.

To early round here yet for plants to go into the greenhouse its been snowing this morning , you may be able to leave more mature plants in the GH if the tempertures doesn't drop below 8-10c ideally higher , I tend to wait until weather better otherwise I am moving loads pf plants in and out of the house every day.

Depends what you want to sow. I've got a lot of hardy perennials, that don't need additional warmth to germinate, sown in the greenhouse; also sweetpeas, carrots, peas and beetroot.
Tomatoes, peppers, salvias etc are in a propagator with heat and light. I've also got crocus, cyclamen, arum and galanthus seed sown in pots in a shady spot outside.

Yes I have lots in my greenhouse , just read up on their requirements. I also have an inner section made for half my greenhouse ,the best way to describe it is that it's like a greenhouse within a greenhouse ..a wooden frame that has a stapled covering of doubled bubble wrap. It is surprising what can be successfully kept in there, I just have to keep a close eye on the temperature and store plants accordingly...even to the extent of fleecing them when they are in the bubble wrap section on the odd occasions.
The key is knowing what each plant requires for it's survival and doing your best to mimic the conditions the best you can.
Which ever seed I sow I always do some research first!!:dbgrtmb:

Found my Petunia seeds, will sow them tomorrow.:hapydancsmil:
During my hunt I also found some Dahlia seeds from one of my Mum's plants, she has been gone 13 yrs now so it's well established and still going strong. I harvested these seeds a couple of years ago, probably not viable now and if they are then probably won't come true....but hey I HAVE to give these things ago!:dbgrtmb:

This evening noticed that Corydalis ochroleuca, sown last spring and left in a shady spot on the decking has a lot of seedlings in it, just hoping that they are corydalis seedlings.
