Good afternoon I have just received 80 pelargonium very small plug plants from my friend ,which I didn't know about, now I know I have to repot them in to 3 inch pots in the greenhouse ,problem is Woo has only got 60 pots left ,and under the present climate unlikely to get anymore,I have a half barrel, could I put the other 20 in the half barrel and cover it with bubble wrap, any advice would be appreciated thank you:smile:

My worry would be them getting too much water - i.e. same as any over-potting situation, where the roots are only small relative to the amount of compost around them, and therefore unable to "drink up" very quickly.

Any Yogurt pots or plastic cups from drinking fountain lying around ? ... or anything like that scroungable from nearby? No old single-use plastic module trays that you've kept for ... ermmm .... reuse :) ?

Ah ... another thought. Make some newspaper pots?

Find a suitable sized can - e.g. aerosol spray can, or suitable diameter.

Fold newspaper in half, so that the "narrow" side is the height of the pot you want, plus an inch or so for the "base". Roll around the can, with an inch or so sticking out the bottom, fold that under for the "base", and slide off the can. Repeat .. very therapeutic - honestly!! Just have to try not to keep finding interesting things to read, that you missed the first time around.

The middle, cardboard part of toilet rolls can be used too @wiseowl. That's providing you can still get them of course. :)
