The Cayeux Iris Catalogue arrived this morning. so I sat on the Patio in the sunshine reading it, then looked at the Bearded Iris collection in pots on the Patio only feet away from me and decided to give myself a late Birthday treat so I've ordered......

Oooohhh Armandi, those are lovely, I especially like Paul Black and Got Milk.

Carolyn, that's a shame, it would have been a lovely gift. But I suspect it is due to West Australia's very strict quarantine laws. Most of the sellers I buy from here on the east coast cannot ship there.

It's raining here today so I'm stuck inside planning some new sections of the gardening and at high risk of online plant shopping ;)

Top of the list are some climbing roses, a hardy kiwi berry and some netting for the vegetable beds, but you never know what else you might come across....

Went to Farmyard Nurseries today... spent quite a bit. :rolleyespink: Plants include a lampranthus, yellow viola cornuta hybrid (wrong label on it, so don't know which), dactylorhiza, salvia deep purple, trollius (I think it's Alabster), bletilla, and a corydalis Tory MP, which has a lovely perfume (@Victoria - I smelled a few varieties eg Spinners, Norman's Seedling, but the others didn't have as much perfume).

New tele on the left - old on the right - when it gets a bit darker - that's when the new tv will come into its own. Going to purchase some blue tooth speakers for the full monty cinema experience:

I bought this Galvanised Steel 10 litre Watering Can from Aldi's earlier this week for £9.99p.
It's a really well made, solid Watering Can.

I've decided against grass seeding the reformed bank in my garden after soakaway groundwork being carried out. To make it easier for me to maintain I will plant it up with some small shrubs, perennials and ground cover. Pink is not a colour that would look right in my rural garden so I've opted for colours that will be more subtle or darker.

A start below with Potentilla Fruticosa 'Daydawn' - pale peach in colour. I scoured the internet for a supplier but all were out of stock. Surprisingly I bought these locally at a small nursery.

I got two Hibiscus rosa-sinensis , a Lotus berhtelotti (a bit straggly but the only one they had) and a Petunia Calibrachoa Confetti (Million Bells), the latter two in hanging baskets.
