Hi Does anyone know why my new Zinnia plants are suffering fom curly leaves? All the rest of the plants in the same bed are perfectly ok. I cannot see any aphids or other bugs on the leaves. I am a new member and have photo, but not sure how to attach

Definately seems fungal, but would need to see the roots, but over or under wayering can have similar effects

Many thanks Cuttings. I will see if they grow out if it, but will check roots and photo then if they don't improve.

I know there are a dozen or so species of zinnia, and only familiar withbthe Magellan types, but I agee, vit does resemble Gerbra.

Thank you for your doubts as whether it is actually a Zinnia. I was given these plants being told they were Dahlias, so I assumed they were Zinnias. A couple of them have picked a bit and maybe will grow to flower then we will at least know what they are.

They don't look like Zinnias , or the Zinnias I grow.
@BanjoBoy , zinnias and dahlias are different plants if you put a picture of the full plant and a good leaf on here, I am sure our boffins will be able to ident the plant :blue thumb:

When I first saw the damaged leaves they looked more like Dahlia to me - but I'm not sure. Could be mosaic virus

These are the only Zinnia leaves I know

I still think that they might be Zinnias. I will definitely post some pictures if I get flowers. Thanks all for your help and suggestions.

Can you explain, why if you were told they were dahlias did you assume they were zinnias?

I think, whatever they are, the crinkled leaves are normal for that plant I'm thinking possibly annual asters, but that is only a guess.;)

I was told they were Dahlias but they told me they were annuals. So I assumed Zinnias
