Ours have been getting out of hand  so we've been pulling a lot up. Found some mugs to have some of them :heehee: and filled a wheelie bin with the rest. Still plenty left.

Oops, @Emily Jones , I’ve just realised that I didn’t say how to store the concentrated mint...
In case you hadn’t worked it out, I keep the paste in a small (or not so small!) glass jar, pressing it down to remove any air pockets, and I drizzle a very thin layer of syrup/honey over the top, to form a sort of seal. Then a secure lid, and it will store in a cupboard for a number of years. When you take a spoonful out, the surface “seal” seems to reform naturally....

Yes, it’s a great spreader, isn’t it!? It even does well in our soil, but I love it for the contrasting leaves, and I can’t get enough plants for the church gardens, as the little ‘uns love to break off a leaf to show their parents, so those plants rarely have enough oomph to spread freely. I’d happily take a wheelie bin-ful from you, if I was nearer!

Yes, they feel lovely and we let any kids that come round pick a few. We also dig the plants up if the parents want them :)

Taking pictures, deadheading and enjoying the sunshine:SUNsmile: Later I'll dig up the remaining non flowering salvia (it must know I'm not keen on salvias) and put it in a pot. If it does nothing next year it will have the old heave ho:)
The cutting garden is still producing lots of colourful flowers for the house. The wrought iron gates are in place in the bed and they will look amazing when covered in sweet peas next summer. Not sure whether to dig out the dahlias this year after having left them in last year. They were fine but they are now getting a bit congested so I may do a bit of editing. I will have to be careful about labelling.

Thanks @shiney, hopefully I can pick some up Thursday when I shop.

I think @ARMANDII will be heading your way then.

Lambs ears? I have a feeling that's growing in my garden but I don't really know what it looks like.

@Sheal most of the time the leaves lie fairly flat to the ground and are thick and very wooly/silky and nice to the touch. The flowers are fairly innocuous looking but the bees love them.

Thanks @shiney. That is nothing like I expected Lambs Ears to look, although I like it. So, no, it's not growing in my garden - shame. :) There's very little in my garden still that resembles anything other than weeds. Hopefully I'll be able to make more progress on that next year.

Just look at the leaves. Most of the year they're flat to the ground (I'll see whether I can take a photo tomorrow) and only come up when the flower stem grows.

Ah, I've just remembered! :ideaIPB: The leaves I'm thinking of look like Lambs Lettuce not Lambs Ears.:biggrin:
