    Those statues are great @wiseowl
I think something like that would look beautiful in @ARMANDII 's garden

      How exiting!
Are there any legends locally or from your childhood that might bring inspiration? A statue with a story or touchpoint to something meaningful would be wonderful. Or it could link to something in your past, a place perhaps...

A classic statue could look great, if it's above head height, a downward gazing lady perhaps? Or the opposite, something reaching to the heavens to draw the eye up? Or, you could go completely wacky with something extraordinary. :)

Well, as Woo has shown there is always the Cheshire Cat but this one is only 25" tall which is not good for impact.

Only 25 yards in front of my House is an old Roman Sand Quarry, but I feel no empathy towards a Roman statue and, besides, they are too classical and formal.

Buddha statues would not really fit into a Cottage style garden:doh:

I think I'm looking for something whimsical or "gentle":dunno: One of the irritating problems is when you do see something that catches the eye is that it's either too small or there's no description of the height:wallbanging:
I thought maybe a magical theme, while trying to dodge Garden Gnomes:gaah:, which might possibly fit into the Cottage Garden style such as........

          Perhaps a Dragon??

The tallest do seem to be the classical statues

which are very beautiful but, for some reason, don't "float my boat":wallbanging:

A cat statue made from a natural material ( sandstone perhaps given your proximity to sand :heehee: ) as a tribute to felines past and present? Or maybe an astronomer and telescope statue, if there is such a thing? Or maybe a stone water feature ?

Hi lucius, well, I've got a wildlife pond and two fairly large Bird Baths so maybe not.:dunno:

Well, I have the two Kitten/Cats right now who keep me busy and my last two who's loss left a big hole are resting in the shade of the Acer Brilliantissismum so I think I have enough.

I never thought of that:doh: But, again, I have the "big Statue" standing just outside my Kitchen door......

Postage stamp, or not, it's your garden, Clara, and it's something to love.

These cranes/herons are rather elegant from Amazon, 4 feet tall.
