I'll second that FC, but I don't think a deer will stand on it.

And now you're narrowing it down, Sheal. I've pretty much made up my mind as to what the Statue will be and it will fit into the character of the garden, but the place I want to visit to see it is in Wales which, of course, is shut down until the 9th November.:wallbanging:

I must confess. That statue of Shiney's. I really do think that is great. I understand that in artistic work. Replicating fingers and toes are difficult, but the also the facial features. I am not an expert in anyway, but within my academic woek. I am in frequest contact with the great museums of London. Here, countless statues can be seen. These all lack that special realism. I would be pleased to have Shiney's beautiful lady adorn my garden.

Yes, I agree, Mike, and as I've said, on the Open Days I used to amble around Shineyland and admire the Statue which fits in so well with the style of the garden.:love30::thumbsup:
But my garden is a different style/character more informal and Cottage style so, unfortunately, a beautiful formal statue such as Shiney's would look out of place.
I need, I think, something more fanciful, more mythical, even magical to bring a smile to my face as it sits among the closely grown Peonies, Lupins, Roses, Perennial Poppies, Knautia, Mallows, Alliums, Foxtail Lilies, Gladioli, Rudbeckia, and all the other Hardy Perennials, when I'm sitting in the Arbour, on the Stone Bench, or even by the Wildlife pond.

So we've all got to wait two weeks at least. Will there be an official unveiling? :)

I wish it was that simple, Sheal, as these things are made to order so it could be a 4 to 6 weeks lead time which, because the place will be shut down for another fortnight, is complicating things......patience, patience is what I need.:dunno::doh:
