Of course! There's enough misery around us so it's good to have something to look forward too. :)

Just a quick update.......I've had an e-mail to tell me that:hapydancsmil:the Floral Plinth that I've ordered will arrive next Wednesday 25th November..........which is my day off so that's worked out well!
All I need now is the Statue but I reckon that will be just before Christmas before it's ready. But I had better move the Garden Weather Station, this weekend, from it's site on the "walk around border to the Lawn border as that is where the plinth and statue is going to go.

Well, Sheal, it will be about 2' higher so it might be more accurate with low cloud.:dunno:

Being higher the temperature reading will be lower as well then. :)

Well, the stone Floral Plinth for the Garden Statue was scheduled to arrive today, my day off, at 1030am but, as I was dropping some rubbish into the Council Bin at 9am, the Truck arrived. It's only been 3 weeks since I ordered the Plinth, but it seems longer, and I actually thought that with the Covid 19 situation, and the fact that most such small firms are suffering from smaller numbers of staff, it might take longer as they won't make it until it's ordered and paid for. I reckon 3 weeks isn't a bad lead time.

I'm more than happy with the quality and design of the Plinth and it's exactly what will fit in the garden. All I need to do now is use the Porters Trolley to move the Plinth from the Patio down the central path to the chosen site on the "Walk around Border. I'll have to put some concrete flags down on the soil and use the Porters Trolley to get the Plinth over the soft soil to the concrete base I've already put there.
It was raining when the Truck arrived but the Driver and I had a good chat as he trollied the Plinth down the side passage of the House and put it onto the Patio. He enjoys travelling all over the country delivering all sorts of stuff, is a Trumpet player in a small Brass Band in Brighton in Sussex:love30: I gave him a tip, told him "not to back Horses":nonofinger:, and something to get him Lunch somewhere.
Now all that has to arrive is the Statue, which has been ordered and paid for, but I will have to drive into Wales when it's ready and the COVID 19 restrictions are lifted, to collect it as the makers say it's too delicate and fragile to trust to a Courier.:dunno: But, to be honest, I don't expect it to be ready until just before Christmas or just after New Year.....we'll see:dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:.

@ARMANDII it's okay to bet on the horses, just not the ones with the fat jockeys!

Lovely plinth. Looking forward to seeing it and your statue in situ :)

The Plinth has been treated by the Makers, Lori, to let Moss and Algae grow on it, which is what happens to me if I stand still:doh:. I think the Statue, when it comes, will fit the theme of the Plinth and the garden nicely, but I guess some people might not either agree or like the Statue, but we'll see.:dunno::heehee:

The old way to do that used to be spread diluted cow dung on it. The modern way is to spread yoghurt on it. :) I suppose they use a chemical now. :noidea:

So long as they don't use Beer as that would be such a waste:heehee: They've also "aged" it as a brand new piece of garden ornament always seems to stand out as being new and can clash with the garden.:dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley:
