Looking good but smelling even better! Eriobotrya, (loquat) or just to confuse things, known as Japanese medlar here. The flowers have a heavy almond essence perfume and the fruits are delicious :)

Was it raised from seed, @pete? They seem variable. 'Son of' is the same size as the original (although obviously not the same age) and hasn't flowered yet either. Hang on in there.....it'll be worth it, even if they do need a bit of protection because of their silly timing

Not seed, by me anyway, bought it from a nursery.
There is one local to me that is pretty big,but not seen that flower, but it might have done, I need to look.

They are a gamble. It only takes one vicious air-frost to wipe out the flowers. Like I said, silly timing, really, like Acacias

The Almond and Jacarandas are coming back from their massacres. The Almond looks strange as now is when it loses it's leaves. Bougainvillea filling out over gate.

Still some flowers in the garden here at the start of the week so posted a couple of videos of what's still in bloom here and here. Bit chilly to be doing much gardening here today but only a few weeks now and the days will be getting longer again.
                            Happy gardening!
