    Hi Team

    Heliotrope seeds... I have just sown some for the the first time ever !!! but reading up they dont look that easy to grow from seed anyone else grown > and your experience will be appreciated.

      I wouldn't say they aee hard to grow from seed. A very light covering of compost and into the propagator

        They can be very erratic so be patient.

          I grew some last year, didn't get any problems, just grew them as any other half hardy annual.

          Not quite sure where they got the highly scented bit from, just had a strange smell really.

          They're easy, but fiddly, as the seedlings are small. They don't seem to 'waft'. You have to stick your nose right up close for the perfume :biggrin:

            they are meant to smell like a cherry pie .... I have sown in modules so dont have to prick out .... see how they go

                        A lot of plants have lost their scent or have been reduced due to selection, Mimulus used to have a scent but was bred out over the years.
