Hello, usually, the fertiliser in compost lasts for about 6 weeks, so you could start giving your camellias a feed now :) Perhaps just once a month until the frosts have finished, as it's quite high in nitrogen and you don't want tender new leaves to get damaged!

I wouldn't feed until the roots are well established into the new compost.
That could be a while yet.

Hi @learningardener , are you in the UK as that brand of fertilizer seems rather obscure ?
Cannot establish from your product description if it is an Erricatious type ?

There are plenty of much lower priced and readily available erricatious ferilizers around like this Doff one from the Range and elsewhere.

Good if you could add Malta to your Profile Location, so we know you have different conditions to most of us. ( and that GC members can have a big discount on holiday accommodation when we come over  )

You need to make sure that fertilizer is suitable for your Erricatious / Acid loving Camellias.

Just need to ask that you did use an Erricatious compost to repot it with ?

There was a discussion a little while back on the relative properties of ericaceous feeds...I'll have a dig around and see if I can find it.
