    They are very good quality which I am happy with I don't mind paying a premium price with quality plants , I've not bought off them before but I keeping an eye out for protea pink ice in future. Hopefully I can keep these two alive , they are on the windowsill at the moment bit chilly in the greenhouse, they both take a frost but apparently .

      I'm always a bit wary of those minimum temperatures they quote.
      The kind of frost we are getting at the moment is one thing, a January day that rains all day then goes down to minus three for 12 hours is something a bit different.:smile:

        My new Double Hibiscus, a HibisQs which blooms for 3-5 days and constantly has blooms. I have an Orange Single one too below. I got a new pedestal pot for the new one ... it is actually a lantern so I lined it with an old black tee shirt before filling with compost..

          :yay::yay:Yay!!:yay::yay:

          I’ve just visited a garden centre that I’ve recently heard about.

          How lovely to wander around an Aladdin’s cave of a centre, on an ordinary street. A mad, confusing maze of narrow paths with planting shelves groaning with pots of plants. It felt just like one of my favourite garden centres in the UK, apart from the fact that the paths were only about 30cm wide. Not cheap to my mind - but then the prices are on a par with Secret Garden, so I may just be out of touch with plant prices!!:noidea:

          Anyway, I chose plants that I might get away with dividing before I plant, as is my want....
          :whistle:

            Took myself off to Pan Global Plants (Frampton on Severn), a bit of a trek for me. Picked up a couple of things I killed off last year plus a couple of unusual polygonatum, a lilac with very different foliage, another Berberis, a smooth leaved mahonia, Sarcococca orientalis to go with the new Daphne bholula and an orange flowered buddleja from Brazil. From tomorrow I'm on bread and soup for the next few weeks.

                I really shouldn't be planting anything at this time of year, but hey ho, finally tracked down Photinia 'Pink Marble' and the GC had some beautiful clematis...Nubia (red) and Tranquillity (lilac and white double). Also got quite a few big gaps to fill in the main border as the original cistus are coming to the end of the road, so Choisya, pink Phlomis, Grevillea and my favourite sages, Icterina and Purpurea , will go in tomorrow.
