It's 92.5f right now and starting to cool down a little. :) I just checked to make sure they're still in wet soil.

If I'd had cucumber seedlings, they would have gone out too!

Hopefully rain will be coming soon :fingers crossed:

I'm currently about 4 weeks behind where I would like to be. Thoroughly fed up with the cold wet, .weather. Probably end up in the greenhouse drinking tea and watching raindrops.

Stopped raining later in the morning, got out in the greenhouse after lunch and got tomatoes planted into final pots. Had a look round and things are not too bad, some of the Impatiens are shooting as is the Dahlia imperalis. In the greenhouse mood bouyed by finding three ripe strawberries on some potted up ones.

Did a bit of weeding and pulling out grass from between the lavender bushes. Managed to get the front grass cut but the back was far too wet. Spent the evening having a bit of a burn up and boozing :ccheers::rolleyespink:

Been a busy day. Planted out around 50 plants for one of my clients it takes forever there the garden full of tarmac / stone I have to use a mattock to dig the planting holes , its a good job I am well fed and watered :)

Back home and I had my own plants to plant out the hoard of plants are forever growing so they need dwindling . Moved some Agastache Black adder to partner up with some phlox and rosa Lady of shallot . Dug out some thalia daffs and moved the Helenium M Beauty into that space to clump the heleniiums together. Planted out 3 Agastache Blue Fortune near the Helenium M beauty and also added 3 Anemone Ruffled swan in front of them . Planted out another 3 agastache crazy fortune ( very nice foliage ). Also planted out an Aster Jenny - dutch Iris and my 3 lavender Niko ( or phenomenal ) to make a small hedge in the front garden , Niko is supposedly a superior plant to the older variety's with larger flowers stronger stems and can flower more than once.

Chopped a chuck off one of the Eupatorium which was encroaching on other plants, I've potted a struggling Heuchera up and move the sedum touch teak into its place . And a bit of weeding while I've been out and about.

A lot of weeding in the back garden one of the borders really needed it. Also trimmed the grass on the same border. Going to plant some sage there in front of the blackcurrants.

Honestly, I'll sell my lawnmower to some sub- Saharan country. The minute I plug it in, the rain starts.

Anyways, managed to get things cut without electrocuting myself and the moment I unplugged the mower, sun came out. Started raking the lawns, a job I seriously hate but it needs to be done once a year.

Cucumbers and Tomatoes are in boxes waiting for the weather to tame down a bit next week, they will then start their daily walkies and hopefully get permanently out sometime fairly soon-ish. Can't wait to reclaim my living room

I'm considering Frogbit for my new small pond, but as usual, can't make my mind up to invest so am spending countless hours browsing for a good deal. Such a big move... tight? Moi?

I planted 3 rows of parsnips - but this took much longer than it sounds as needed to weed where they were going first..... Then - more weeding. Still lots and lots and lots to do!

Weeded a border in the back garden where the blackberries and blackcurrants are. Also cut the edge of the grass there, because the edges don't get cut at all it just grows into the border along with the buttercups and dandelions. Get a lot of the cleevers, that can grow like mad into other plants without noticing it.

Well I managed to get up to my lotty and plant out some bits....beetroot, swedes, iceberg lettuce, butternut squashes and courgettes, some late sown broad beans, more peas.

I tied some chicken wire to the trellis so the peas could climb better. Also tied in the pear tree.

Came back to the garden and planted up the pig trough with my tomato plants, nasturtium and marigolds.

The peppers and aubergines have been planted outdoors, so I am pretty much caught up. The tomatoes in the greenhouse are waist high and flowering so I have to tap the trusses a few times a day to pollinate the flowers. Not much to do now but sit back and let Mother Nature do her thing.

We haven't had much of a break from the rain. Well enough time to do anything in the garden or at the allotment at least. So potted up some tomato plants in the greenhouse and thought I'd give some new plants a go so have sown Eryngium Gigantium "silver ghost" and Nigella papillosa "African bride"
