Thanks @EmmaJane & @Victoria. I will let you know how the mini greenhouse goes when I get one. If only I had somewhere to put it!
I’ve potted my hanging baskets and pots tonight and there are so many I needed to go out for extra compost....and then saw irresistible bargain bedding plants whilst out....and so it continues..

Lovely early morning bike ride yesterday, but saddened to find baby rabbit just been killed on the lane . There were another two baby rabbits trying to approach the body, probably related as same age, but two Crows had already made a start on their free meal. I moved the body to a field entrance to prevent further accidents.

When I got back I removed a Geranium from one of the sinks that had been invaded by couch grass and split it up. Planted one piece in a pot, one piece in Cherry tree bed and another in the patio bed. Planted two Campanulas in pots, planted two young Toadflax under the Willow tree. Yesterday evening I did some weeding of the border in the back garden and weeded the gravel area by the Willow tree.

Well my garden has suddenly taken a turn for the worst. Firstly, my raspberry started wilting. Secondly my strawberry patch seems to be infested with some sort of green beetle. They have eaten many of the strawberry petals but luckily none of the green fruits have been hit yet. They are everywhere though. I've sprayed with some Bug Clear to see if that clears it up before they do more damage.

And then I discovered that my beloved, grown from seed cucumber plants seem to be looking very sad. Several of the large leaves have wilted and gone yellow. I just hope I won't lose them all :( They only went in compost a few days ago so I would think they would have enough nutrient in the soil to be fine. Transplant shock maybe? I hardened them off a week before and it's actually been warmer recently. Ugh. Feeling very downhearted that everything is going wrong.

I hope things improve for your garden soon @FrancescaH It is so disheartening when our plants don't do as well as they should.

Planted up my troughs and planters in my Jimmies this morning and was desperate to crack on with more Box trimming but my back won't let me:gaah:....Mr Loli got out the "little stool on wheels" to make it 'easier' but it's as much use as toothache:rolleyespink:...you have to keep getting up and down and standing back to check it's just so...well as 'just so' as a Loli would do it..

Pulled up some of the wallflowers to plant out some verbascum, cosmos verbena bonerenses and Snapdragons in part of the front garden.

Try not to be down hearted,we've all been there..Cucumbers have a knack of keeling over even if you look at them wrong...I've grown them for years but this year not a one.I was about to give up as this year many seeds sown have been a complete flop,it does sometimes make you wonder why you bother putting your heart and soul into things but on a positive note that's how we learn.

Well, I didn't do it but T'other Half repaired and man handled the giant pot (60cm x 50cm) from the Strelizia nicholai which broke when it was removed a few weeks back onto the front patio and transplanted the Beaucarnea recurvata and three Beaucarnea guatemalensis (Red Pony Tail Plant) into it.

Weeded another border in preparation for planting out over the weekend.
Found my remaining missing Dahlia...so all made it through the winter. That's their 2nd winter being left in situ...I will try not to worry so much this coming winter.
Moved and divided another Dahlia as I wasn't happy were it was.
                      Moved a Cupids Dart .
Planted out some Zinnias and a few Petunias.
                      Deadheaded some Wallflowers

Thought I was being shot at on hearing a loud bang, the noise came from the garage/ workshop. As hubs was indoors cooking I decided to investigate.....a fertiliser container had exploded and gone everywhere....the smell was awful!!

I didn’t do much in *mum’s* garden today, but what I did was fun!

Mum has had a new gardener start this spring. The poor guy has been faced with a jungle, with a few interesting plants trying to fight through. He has tried to battle on, guessing what’s what.
Today I was able to walk around the garden with him, pointing out plants that should be there, those that are bird-planted seedlings, and the thugs! The strange concrete mini-path, the pillars, and the hedgehog tunnel, that was in fact a garden railway. The reason for the missing branches on the fruit trees - when a mature Lombardy poplar fell the length of the garden; the various pieces of plastic along the same line - the high-water mark from the river flooding last year; why there was a line of metal posts down one side of the garden - to support the line of tamarisks that have long since gone; the completely overgrown steps down a short steep bank.... I probably bored him silly, but it was lovely to think of the garden as it was when it was in its prime, and spy the remnants of what used to be...

Trying to catch up on a minimal amount of gardening done in May. So palnt out peas, runner and french beans. Start to harden off dahlias courgettes and squashes, pot on some dahlias, cut the grass front and back. First of all weed so I can do the above.
