    Not much really.

I’m working in my mum’s garden - so I pulled out a bucket-full of bindweed, roots included, and also some seed heads from the Spanish bluebells, to try to limit its spread. Then I just had a walk around the bottom garden. It’s amazing how much the weeds in the garden have grown in just a couple of weeks, since I first arrived from Belgium....

Cut grass in side garden again ( didn't I just cut it last week  :heehee: ) and cut narrow strip between bun runs and hedge.

I enjoy a tanqueray and tonic once in awhile but there are no men here to chase around the sofa so it is kinda pointless.. :roflol:

Put in canes for peas and beans, cut grass at back, check compost heap. If time available plant some plants to make space to move more plants out of greenhouse.

              Me too!

My gardener Ben is coming this morning to cut down a dead bit on the Myoporum tree and eradicate a hedge of Melaleuca which has quickly appeared in a rockery. Have to plant the purchases of yesterday. It is a lovely day and will not be too hot as the work will be done before the heat of the day hits.

Oh, I like that colour @wiseowl ! I have painted all of my hanging (plastic) pots as they were all just beige. I am repainting my watering cans in bright colours too.

I wait all through winter to see colour and I'll get it early by doing this whilst waiting for my plants to flower.

I've got an old wooden chair that I plan to paint into a rainbow like fixture.

Today I just gathered up some of the mess I made yesterday. I've repainted the front of an old breadbox that I use to store electrical spare parts - and done it in a very rich turquoise. Then I painted the old metal stand that it sits on in a forest green. Topped it's shelves with clear plastic to help protect them as the unit sits in the greenhouse year round. I'm going back out to replace the clear plastic on the wooden shelf in each of the 3 greenhouses. The old is tired and stiff. I use 4 gge plastic that is not too flimsy.

And watering - it is not even noon yet and it is 88f out there!

Got off to a good start, but then stalled at cutting grass. Spent the afternoon at the computer writing reports for work and contemplating resignation.

Good afternoon @CanadianLori my friend and thank you I had so many of the maddening crown round here going on at me I've heard every joke to day about lime green as the neighbours walked past from "I'm green with envy to "sometimes in life you have to just green and bear it" :heehee:

Been out in the garden most of the day , working incredibly slowly and needing lots of sit downs. Judging by the stack of pots it seems that a lot of plants got planted out.....but because it took me so long it didn't seem like it.
Gradually getting to the last batch now..

I just spend most of my time repotting plants I have overwintered, plus the new ones from this year need potting on, running out of compost so will need to get some more.
I used to hate going to get stuff weekends when everywhere was busy, so now I go mid week, being retired as such, and now I find the places are all full of old people mid week.

I didn't realise there was so many old people about, or is just that I have become one of them.:biggrin:
