Mmmm, I can smell them from here. I like the colour of the Hibiscus syriacus, it has a lavender hue in it.

Thank you @Victoria I don't know the variety. It is about 7 feet tall and I brought it from my parents' garden before we sold the house after their days. My dad loved blue flowers.

You're telling me it's dry! See the weather thread  Gardnerianum has had more water this year and the flower spikes are much better. Elizabeth and Pink Diamond are the two earliest to flower here usually. I'll look into the postage situation now the dust has settled ;)
Found some self-sown Lagerstroemia babies the other day :hapfeet:

I've still got three of the black leaved Lagerstroemias, they are slow growing here and suffer a lot of die back each year, probably down to not ripening the wood in the late summer.

Have you tried giving them potash?

They are still potted so get usual feeding which involves, like most things, high potash feed at this time of the year, they are just very slow, three years old now, I think.

One of the black leaved Lagerstroemias, 5 in pot.

The Albizias are only just flowering and the flowers are very poor this year.
