Mmmm, I can smell them from here. I like the colour of the Hibiscus syriacus, it has a lavender hue in it.

 

Thank you @Victoria I don't know the variety. It is about 7 feet tall and I brought it from my parents' garden before we sold the house after their days. My dad loved blue flowers.

I like the pink one but it would probably flower too late here.
Just a thought, but the rolled up leaves mean they are dry.

To show how bad its been here the Lagerstroemias will not be flowering this year as they are only just showing flower buds.
Never known that to happen.

 

You're telling me it's dry! See the weather thread Gardnerianum has had more water this year and the flower spikes are much better. Elizabeth and Pink Diamond are the two earliest to flower here usually. I'll look into the postage situation now the dust has settled
Found some self-sown Lagerstroemia babies the other day

 

I've still got three of the black leaved Lagerstroemias, they are slow growing here and suffer a lot of die back each year, probably down to not ripening the wood in the late summer.

 

Have you tried giving them potash?

 

They are still potted so get usual feeding which involves, like most things, high potash feed at this time of the year, they are just very slow, three years old now, I think.

The Albizias are only just flowering and the flowers are very poor this year.

The wind splayed these Rudbeckia out but I don't mind .

Tithonia flower finally its a lot of plant for such a small flower nice colour though


My favourite pot at the moment simple but effective .
