    Just wanted to say thanks for all the good advice and ideas you lot have given me. Coming to the end of my first year in this new house and the garden has been brilliant! We dropped down 800ft and the weather is far gentler, the garden is smaller and easier to manage, and every single thing I planted did well. The apple tree gave us 4 carrier bags full of apples and we've got a freezer full of crumble. Today I've been planting Farmer Gracey bulbs - fancy white dwarf tulips and some white bluebells. Next year I want to fill up all the spaces and start on the front which is currently gravel. Really enjoying this new adventure, and glad to be down off the hill! :spinning:
