    I've been digging (:biggrin:) for more info here, and it simply doesn't exist! The nearest the French funeral cartels will go is allowing you to bury a biodegradable urn full of ready-cremated ashes in a specified forest near Toulouse.
    It's funny you mentioning Catholicism, @JimmyB. That was mentioned in the original Youtube clip as being a factor in so few states passing the legislation. It could also be a factor here in France, although officially it's a secular country. Having had personal experience of the Catholic church's procedures and involvement in a dear friend's death, I want nothing to do with it! The sooner the composting idea gains ground (ha!) the better.

    Well it's not the place for a religious rant - but I was brought up in a pretty extreme Catholic cult. That leaves one either fairly devout or militant atheist. I'm not so devout. :smile:

    I'd love to see body composting become the norm though. I really struggle to understand rational, non-commercial opposition.
