My young Wallflowers are in flower now

My thoughts are that they will still flower next spring, but can't help thinking that they should really be making vegetative growth now rather than flowers.
I'd give it a couple of weeks and then cut the flowers off. The frost might kill the flowers anyway.

 

Mine are flowering too, also grown from seed this year. I snip the flowers off sometimes, but they do tend to flower on and off if the weather is mild. It doesn't do them any harm in my experience..

 

When did you sow the seed?
Just wondering if maybe sowing a month later would alter the flowering.
My other thought is did they get really potbound before planting out, that is of course unless you grew them on in the ground, which was always the old method.

 

I think it's a bit late now, I was seeing these up until about a month ago.

 

Mostly smaller independent garden centres and nurseries.
Basically the crappier the place looks the more likely you are to find them.
