My Ficus Ginseng Bonsai has lots of new growth, Iā€™m waiting for the canopy to bush out a bit more before I start to shape the branches.

          Three Ferns in a Garden.
Polypodium cambricum "Pulcherrimum Addison" bought earlier this year. Originally found near Morcambe Bay in 1861.
          Polypodium cambricumĀ Pulcherrimum Addison.JPG

Polypodium calirhiza "Sarah Lyman" this is an American cousin of the one above coming from the Napa Valley in California. Unusually it is summer dormant regrowing in autumn when the rains return.

Polystichum proliferum "Mother Shield Fern" from Australia, hardy and produces plantlets at the frond tips. I haven't had any yet.

Now that is interesting. Maybe they would grow here.

I've got three ferns, not really my thing, but this time of the year they come into their own.
First one I grew from spores many years ago when I was dead keen. DSC02209.JPG DSC02211.JPG

                      Red berries?
There are some reddish flower buds of Rhododendron indicum.
                      Well spotted.
