    It should do well :thumbsup:

    Ours started flowering at the end of July and the last flower finished last week. It seemed to grow quite happily through the early frosts we had :scratch:. We still have left it where it is as it's covered in large seed pods that look like passion flower seed pods. We've never yet got viable seeds from it but we'll try again this year. We must have over 100 pods. :rolleyespink:

        Thank you @shiney, I didn't know they grew as big as that :yikes: I was hoping to grow them on the patio in tubs, I haven't got a flower bed by a wall. I'll have to try them up some trellises in the garden.

        Sorry @JWK it isn't Ipomoea, Thanks for the suggestion :smile: I'd remember if I saw the name.

        Thanks, that's the one :dbgrtmb:

        Eccremocarpus Thanks @pete it may be a good alternative to Cobaea, or even as well as :biggrin:

          They only do so if they're given the chance. Trellises would be good. Their climbing tendrils are interesting as they are exceptionally thin. They have tiny curled tips that will grip anything - even your finger - but does it very lightly and then curls around what it is gripping. They're easy to train in the direction you want them.

              @Michael Hewett .
              Rhodochiton is the absolute opposite of Cobea.
              Growing the two in the same area wouldn't work.
              Its a very dainty plant, grows better in containers than in the ground and needs a bit of attention regarding a hot spot and a nice support.
              You can overwinter it in a greenhouse after cutting back.

              Edit, sorry just noticed you was referring to Eccremocarpus and Cobea.
              Still think the Cobea would win, its foliage would blanket most other climbers.

                  Just ordered a packet each of corn marigold and corn chamomile and they've just been dispatched from Mr.fothergills seeds and plants.
                  Already got cosmos, Snapdragons, tomatoes and a free packet of Californian poppy and a lettuce one I will have another free packets of those with the seed order. Always get 2 packets free from them, a veg one and a flower one.
