Wow. My seed budget this year is 15 of your pounds sterling...

I guess that is why it took me so long to figure out which seeds to fit in that spending limit.

Reading those long lists of seed orders really makes me envious.

I bet there'll be some great pictures posted this summer!:dbgrtmb:

I haven't bought any new seeds apart from two pkts of Dahlia ones, I already have Bishops Children.

A lot of mine will get sown outside or in the greenhouse, I'm very much scaling back on germinating seedlings indoors these days.
You've reminded me Vicky that I have Ice Plants and Nasturtiums too. I also have trays of Coleus seedlings and Aquilegia in the greenhouse and other sown trays yet to show signs of life:fingers crossed:.

I dont buy large amounts of seed but I do buy a few here and a few there, that way you dont really notice the cost so much.
I still like to wander around the seed racks at garden centres.

Buying online is ok, but I'm not really organised enough for that and end up paying lots of postage charges.

I also circle the seed racks in the stores but unfortunately their selection is quite limited. For instance, if I wanted to buy green beans, they'd only have one kind and very often it doesn't state whether it is a pole bean or what else it might be.

Yes, my budget did include the mailing fees. :)

I've just totted up my recent seed orders and it all comes to £28, however in my defense I had nothing left in my seed boxes after sowing everything I had during lockdown.

What I've been doing is writing a list of everything I want to try and putting together an order when I spot a deal. I got a lot of 99p seeds on my list from Mr Fothergill's on Black Friday. That way I'm only buying what I know I'll use next year.

Just a tip about Cleome, at the end of the season be careful about pulling up the plants - they have spikes! :rolleyespink:
