I went into the shed to get warm (the shed gets quite a few Sunshine hours) with a coffee & radio. I mixed up some compost.

Now trying to get my contacts put in to this new fangled phone:scratch::dunno::wallbanging::fingers crossed::mute::help:

Carrying on hoeing in all the remaining leaves on the borders . Having to be very careful not to walk over the still ( in places) very frosted grass.

Have opened up the greenhouse and cold frames and will check over the Fuchsias now and give them a little drink , being aware and cautious of our predicted -C temps once again tonight.

Will also collect up the lumps of moss on all 3 patios that get dropped by the birds as they go about collecting it from the roof.. If they like it that much why don't they pick up what they drop??

Good luck with the meconopsis, Perki. I tried on four separate occasions, dismally failing each time after following the said advice.

Too dreich out today so a trip to the local garden centre to get citrus compost for a lemon and kaffir delivered yesterday, and a disappointing journey - seen more stuff on shelves in supermarkets during the first lockdown. The last resort of B&Q came up with the goods, keenly avoiding any venture to the outside area and the risk of buying something in a pot I really would regret!

We planted some Allium Graceful Beauty then I commenced assembling my table/stand for my new cold frame. Took delivery of a couple of bags of farmland manure.

Chilterns good guys, Perki, and certainly changed things round here, albeit without a shade of that blue round June. Luckily the other poppies see to themselves.

Filling in holes in front grass left by foraging badgers. Pruning, maybe shredding, weeding and tidying.

Glad to see you're planting one @Loofah . :yahoo:

On one of my walks this week I passed absolutely loads propped up against the dustbins waiting to be collected by the waste collectors....such a sad sight.:cry3:

I've always fancied one out the front and now we have the space so will see if I can bear digging into my nice clear lawn or if it goes into a border somewhere!
