Yes, you may, you must (as long as it does not shock shiney, which I am sure we can leave to your excellent judgement).

I don't think there's much that would shock Shiney.

My family's clan tartan. Not the kind of garter you'd see around a persons shoulders. We're all English but Mr S is Scottish descendent.

      That is quite delightful!

And the three central roses even give your post relevance within the borders of a gardening forum! You are a virtuoso; what would one expect, after 33,436 messages?

Thank you kind sir! :) I wonder what rose that would be? No, I don't think even Woo (Wiseowl) could guess.

Is it really that many messages? I don't bother to look anymore as I'm just part of the GC furniture now. :heehee:

A Jacobite Rose, based on the Burnet rose?
Failing that the lady concerned could be called rose.

This was the Last Straw … which did not break the camel’s back … but it had a damn good try!

Here was the last clump (23 kilos) you may recognise it from the very first pictures I posted at the beginning of this thread, where it stood at the very back, unsuspecting of its forthcoming fate, but with a massive barrier to defend it:
        upload_2022-6-21_14-32-15.png

Perseus must have had less trouble with the Medusa. All there’s left to do is to remove the 70cm deep corrugated plastic that stopped the thing (quite successfully, actually) from invading the rest of the garden.

Hopefylly, a final report very soon!

A nice thought @NigelJ but it looks more like an Iceberg rose to me. The lady concerned (my daughter-in-law) is American, so definitely not called Rose.

Thank you. What I’d like to do is never do another day’s work in my life. There’s still the plastic “wall” to remove (shouldn’t be that hard), then the final report and picture … Ouf!
