PHOTO-2025-05-22-13-03-33.jpg [IMG] I would appreciate someone letting me know if the Sycamore pictured (taken 22 May 2025) is alive, dead or will regenerate in another dimension.

Thank you. By what month if it doesn't produce leaves or blooms will I know if it is dead?

You should be able to see the buds beginning to fatten up over the next few weeks. We will probably be into April before we see much leaf. Most trees are still bare at the moment.

You also don’t say where you are, there will be a difference between different areas of the country

It's unlikely to be dead it's a sycamore. When was it planted? Have you ever seen it in leaf?
Down here, after a mild winter, sycamores are showing signs of growth and I have seedlings sprouting already.

We all know that it has had leaves on it - it couldn't have grown that tall without photosynthesis

@cc120 Has it got leaves on it yet? If not it's probably an ex tree.

Please see new pic on the first post, taken 22 May 2025. Someone said that the leaves at the base of the tree prove it's alive, but the leaves on the tree have withered. Alive or dead, what do you think?
