I had bad luck with plant world seeds and a few others but they were difficult to germinate stuff so :noidea:

Jungle seeds is under new management the last year so they might have some renewed spirit

Certainly seems to have bucked it's ideas up since the new management took over.

I've been seduced by the climber display at Morrisons again. That's nine plants so far this year. And yes I know that Jasmine is reputed to be a thug, I'm cool with that! 2025-03-22_08-47-51.jpg

Same here! 6 climbers £2 each (they finally had Loniceras and I found one evergreen too), plus a bare root climbing Rosa Blossomtime from Poundland (very much alive) and some Liatris Spicata and Brodiaea corms from Home Bargains. Posh, me?

Sadly I'm unable to buy the very nice Clematis variety as it's called "Piilu" which is nearly very rude in Finnish. Even my dad giggled when I explained my dilemma. :heehee: I promised to give the explanation to The Child some other time.

          morskamarch.jpg

Oh, and a Saintpaulia house plant, I'm very sentimental about them as they were the first houseplants I grew as a child.

Bus timetables are changing today which means I will have to change buses when returning from the office. The change means 20 minutes wait in front of Morrisons. Thank goodness I'm only "in" two days a week.

Morrison's plants are small but in very good condition and burst to life as soon as they are potted on. I have never had a disappointment so far.

I have had one failure this year (at least it looks dead so far). My own fault; it didn't have any leaves on it but was the only one of that particular variety so I decided to risk it. The others are all looking great, two of the clematis have got flower buds.

Trip to a garden centre I've not visited. Intention was for coffee and snack and a wander around. The kitchen and the seating arrangements ( which are wooden boxes with seats and tables and open to the elements) are not connected and the food is delivered in takeaway boxes. Hadn't dressed for eating outside so just bought the Scabiosa.

Lucky you :). I've been told there is a ban on plants being brought to NI from the mainland, so that explains why I'm not seeing these plants in Supermarkets and B&M and Home Bargains. Not seen any in B and Q or garden centres either.. Need some climbers for my fences.

My order of Heucheras, a Tiarella and a Heucherella arrived from Plantagogo today. All healthy plants, well packed. The Heucherella is trailing which will be interesting.

I've just nipped back to the big plant nursery for some plants for the patio bed. I've dug out a big patch of variegated grass that Patrick (previous owner) planted years ago. He thought his son's goats had eaten it but it has grown back like mad. The colours of the bed are basically orange and purple. I've bought another Alstroemeria Indian Summer, Salvia Caradonna, Monarda Cambridge Scarlet, a variegated lemon thyme as the one I planted 4 years ago has died and a coreopsis. I also bought 3 more raspberry plants, Malling Promise. That's the first time I've found summer fruiting raspberries here. The monarda is for the jewel bed.

In Farmer G's sale, I bought bearded iris for the sunny border, in shades of apricot, cinnamon and almost black.
For the shady border, I bought astilbe.
I'll have to show you when they flower!

I ordered some Westland Potting Grit online from a company called Perfect2Trade Ltd.

It was supposedly dispatched on 21/3, due to arrive by 24/3, then changed to 27/3.

No delivery as yet. But has anyone else dealt with this company, and if so, what are your views on them?
                          Many thanks.

Thank you for the idea @katecat58
I did look up buyer reviews for the company, but too often you get a skewed opinion, because people who are dissatisfied are more likely to leave feedback, than those who are satisfied.
                          I'll have a look though.

If the ratings are anything to go by, then I'll probably never receive my purchase.
