It's common buddleia for me. It's ok growing somewhere on a large field, but not in a small garden.
When I moved in I inherited a large buddleia tree, that was never cut. It looked so untidy, I got rid of that. And flowering is too short.

Not the plant's fault, but those heathers that are either painted or have glitter applied for Christmas :thud:.

I'm not keen on Sarcococca either. The plant sulks all year, is not a nice green and I can't decide whether the scent reminds me of damp towels or bin freshener .

Anything invasive, although that can be hard to identify. I've seen people complain a plant being invasive when it either struggles or just dies in my garden. I can't stand the smell of hyacinth, and loathe Red Hot Pokers for no logical reason. When my Dad came out of the RAF and we had our own first house, there were loads of them in the garden. My Mum didn't like them either so I beheaded them with a carving knife wielded like a sword. Very therapeutic.

Oh dear @Plantminded I like the Sarcocca - stays nice and green all year and I do like the scent too - just more evidence of how different we all are with are likes and dislikes
I also like the Red hot pokers but they do have to be in the right place,
Agree about the Borage - the bees love it but my skin isn't too keen .

Perhaps a controversial one but hosta's is another one. I would like them and they look good when not ravaged by slugs but that's just an impossibility here and they aren't worth the work. I also don't get the collectoritis with them, they essentially all look the same but with a tiny tinge of difference in colour.

Ditched all my hostas - although some in unemptied lots are poking out. I'll let them get on with it unless I need the pots.
I replaced the lot with ferns. Interesting foliage to me but not to slugs. Not prone to disease. They tolerate neglect . No slug, snail hunts, most are evergreen. No regrets.

I like them, but slug damage is indeed a very frustrating issue. They are much easier in pots. I also noticed a real difference between the ones with the thick "blue" foliage and the other ones.

Some of the variants are almost indistinguishable between them, yes. But if you compare a blue hosta to a variegated yellow one, they are quite different between them.

This is hosta "Love Pat" (photo found online). I recently bought 2 of them.

                              IMG_6658_2048x.jpg

And this is on the most common hostas ("June"). This is also a photo I found online.
