I am home. No ambulance queue and allocated a bed straight away. Fracture clinic Monday then op next week for plates at the top of the humorous.
    I fainted. Low bp

I hope you are feeling ok @Penny_Forthem - pain killers and rest tonight. Shame there’s an hour ‘less’ in bed.

@Penny_Forthem , I was sorry to read about your accident too. Poor you, that must have been such a shock for you. Steady away and all the very best with the operation next week. I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight, stock up on the painkillers.

Poor you @Penny_Forthem it must be so very painful for you and that was only Round 1. When you get the plates inserted does this mean that you will be on the way to being bionic or are they just temporary until your bone heals?
Cricket got mega excited this morning - probably thinking 'Human slave has made a mistake about breakfast time!' He'll soon adapt.
I hope you all have a wonderful Mothering Sunday.

Good morning to you all! Happy Mother's Day.

I hope you are okay @Penny_Forthem A rough few days ahead of you until the operation. Try and rest. How on earth did you do that?

My broad beans are just cracking the soil @Busy-Lizzie I'd like to be eating some by June! I love them and eat the really young ones whole - skin and all.

Very windy here still - not at all pleasant to be working outside, but have to water some lettuces and radishes plus the flowers that I put it. The ground is dry already!!

Have an enjoyable Sunday. Go easy on the rosé!!

I note that @Ladybird4 wonders whether you will be bionic! I can say through experience (rod and eleven pins in left ankle), that the answer is YES.

                    Good morning all,

Bright and breezy here today. Church shortly then a wait and see day.
Oh, @Penny_Forthem, that sounds a nasty break. I hope you can manage to get some rest before the op next week.

Those of you being treated for Mother’s Day, have a lovely time.

                      Good morning all.

I hope you aren't in a lot of pain @Penny_Forthem. How did you do it? Best wishes for your operation.

I'm at my daughter's. It isn't Mother's Day here, that's in May. We went to a GC yesterday and bought some plants. Chicken is roasting in the oven.

We have a great website for selling and buying things and asking for help etc in West Dordogne. It was started by an English lady years ago. Over 8000 English people subscribe to it.

Thanks all for your input regarding Facebook Market Place. Trust me, I have taken bags of clothes to charity shops. But things we post up for sale are Original car parts of which we get hundreds of dollars for, and Antique pieces. We have donated to museums for tax deductions original historic train sets and other items, for a nice tax deduction. We simply have too much stuff. I can change up decorating from basement storage to living room weekly if I wish. Too many pictures for walls etc. We have not done Ebay, still debating about it. But seems Facebook Market place is far reaching, we get buyers from two states over and have to mail stuff to them. Anyway. that's my extra task besides gardening in my life. fun.

@redstar There's a local selling system here called Le Bon Coin where I sold the 90cm wide stove that was here when we arrived. Got rid cos it was on bottled gas and the oven temps were so unreliable it managed to burn the Xmas cake at 1/4 gas. I bake a lot of cakes and needed a real oven. I've also bought an old wardrobe on it, just the right width for an alcove in the guest bedroom and fine now it's painted. When we moved here from Belgium we got rid of loads of stuff - objets, furniture, and stuff - all given to a chap who ran a chairty shop.

Our microwave has just died with a pop of the fuse for the pantry/scullery. Pain in bum as now we have to search for another with digital settings. We've been expecting its passing for a while but have only seen them with analogue dials.

I get 3 Mothers' days - British today and then French and Belgian in May/June. Good excuse for plants so I'm expecting a delivery from Farmer Gracy of perennials I don't see here such as purple phlomis and varieties of monarda and alstromeria.

I hope you're doing OK @Penny_Forthem and that it's more frustrating than painful, tho neither are easy to deal with. Best of luck for procedures to come and the healing process.

Rain here today and chilly so my cabbage plugs will have to wait another day.

Some pieces I put on Facebook market place are for free, just come by for a Porch pick up. such as I have 8 plastic gallon jugs, don't want to toss them. folks use them to start seeds etc. Last year I had a lady take a bunch. I also list extra plants, free. and they come by and get them.

I am impressed. Had a home visit by an OT bearing a sturdy grab rail to help me out of bed, plus a grabber and shoe horn. Physio has been on the phone to arrange my hospital of choice... the local community one.
Ordered a proper sling from Amazon. Hub has been a star.
