Early start for us here as we're off on a coach trip to Shrewsbury for the day. Somewhere we've never visited before so makes a change! Weather should be OK ....:fingers crossed:

Shrewsbury is a lovely place to visit so do enjoy your day @Bluejayway. My order has arrived and for the first time the wrong items have been sent. I have filled out 'the form' and sent it off so fingers crossed this gets dealt with swiftly.

Thank you @Ladybird4, the trip is actually second choice as we were supposed to be going to Settle next week but not enough people wanted to go there

Good morning all. Nice lunch yesterday with some of my children. We had quite a lot of rain so that will have done the garden the world of good. Why is it that rain is so much better than watering with a hose? Sunny now and it’s my day off so a day in the garden beckons.
Sorry to hear about bad nights and ill health and sad news for some of you sending hugs.

I've only been to Shrewsbury twice. Both times I changed trains at the railway station, on the way to (and from) Fairbourne in the early 1970's, so they probably don't count.

                Good morning to you all!

No virus for me but a good dose of hay fever over the last few days!! So tiring - I have woken this morning really groggy!! Sigh.

It's sort of sunny with a light breeze.

                Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning all, dry bright start, we were forecast rain today but they have changed their mind again. Makes planning anything more difficult. The garden is waking up nicely, I love all the fresh new growth at this time.
                  Have a good day all.

                    Morning.
A better night's sleep, so I feel, if not raring, at least ready to go!
Bryn will be out with the dog walker for 2 hours this morning, then hopefully, Alex will come to cut the grass and do some more planting.
I'm really excited as a friend is coming over from Aus in 3 weeks. She usually stays with us, but I said we (sadly) couldn't cope this year. She is staying with a mutual friend and they are coming for the day to see us. It may be the last time she comes over and, though we have a long standing invite over to Tas., it's too far for us. We should have gone years ago.
                    Something to look forward to.
@Fourmerkland the only Fairbourne I know is near Barmouth. It has a narrow gauge railway. Love it there.
Enjoy Shrewsbury @Bluejayway. At least it's not raining.

A beautiful sunny morning here. Out for breakfast and a walk with a dog. Forecast for a likely shower , which doesn’t seem possible, looking out right now. A trip to the pharmacy on the way home to pick up prescriptions, then I’ll have to review my seedlings, they seem to have stalled growth wise. Very crowded in their trays, but too small and spindly to pot up. I still haven’t identified where to plant the sunflowers! IMG_2255.jpeg

Good morning all, I was planning a morning in the garden but it's now looking a bit iffy so will decide when I've finished my coffee. This is my favourite time of year as well @Allotment Boy.

Sorry to hear you've got a nasty bout of hayfever @Tui34, do you take anything for it?

That will be a good reunion @Penny_Forthem and hopefully you should be feeling much more yourself by then. Your six weeks won't be quite up will it? Hope your gardener turns up for duty.
I have lots of weeding to do, started on the main bed a day or so ago, only another 13 to do!

I'd better crack on before we get any rain.

                        Have a good day everyone.

                          Good morning all!

Agreed about Spring being my favourite time. The apple blossom (on the tree less favoured by bullfinches) is gorgeous, with a lovely scent in the air, and the beech trees are just coming into leaf. Makes you glad to be alive (and grateful to be living where you are, and not in many other parts of the world).

Feeling a bit creaky this morning after a day shovelling compost from one bin to another yesterday. Today is forecast wet, which is probably a good thing for my aches and pains! However, I have to go out shopping before lunch so I'd better get my skates on...

It’s ideal line drying today as sun and wind. We’ve just done a temp mend on a flush until the part arrives. Thank you internet! Those concealed cisterns are all very neat… until they go wrong. Saved £££ on plumber call out though.

Might nip to Diddly-Dee soon then a chill afternoon as have a run of three shifts together then.

Have a lovely day all - whether you are indoors or out today.

Hello. Dull and cloudy today with occasional sunny bits but not warm. Still feeling washed out tho I did manage to get to 5am before the coughing and spluttering started so progress. Sympathy and hugs to anyone else with lurgies, injuries or sadness of any sort.

Good luck for your 3 shifts @AuntyRach. You'll need energy reserves for that stint.

The apple blossoms are still looking good here but we have chaffinch and goldfinch rather than bullfinch. The apricot blossom was frosted so just a few fruit are forming. I'm hoping for better fruiting from the apples and pears.

@Ergates try a dilute feed of liquid rose or tomato fertiliser in your seedlings tray as overcrowding may mean they're hungry and can't grow well. I'm OK so far as the only small seeds i've sown have been for depp dusky red California poppies so everything's been easy to prick out. Fun to come tho.

When I lose text I click on the left arrow at the end of the task bar in the answer box and that usually retrieves lost typing.

Have a good afternoon everyone. I'm off to get mucky for a couple of hours then get cleaned up and do a pedicure before dance class this evening.

Tuesday. Senior discount day at grocery, so off I go.

This morning get a call from a Ford Dealership in town next to us. We normally use the one in the town about 40 mins drive as we bought it there, and it was over the state line, got a better deal and better warranty. So the call told us that some computer thing is being recalled on our SUV and they can come over to download and upgrade it, right in our driveway. We call the normal place we use, yes they have that on their computer as needing it to be done. So that is all legit. But now the normal place is offering the same, they will come over ect. We told them we will stay with the first initiator of the cause. I can see it now, a meeting will be held at the normal place of how come no one is assertive enough to get out there and call folks, thus they are loosing payment of the task. LOL.
