My newish garden is starting to show it's colour here and there. This Azalea is bright red but red never photographs well.

It’s been a very good day for gardening here, not too warm, no wind… just what I like. Unfortunately nothing to show for it apart from a group of pots and the a bit of a border I’m working on. The shed doesn’t look great and it’s raised from the ground as well which makes it look even more ridiculous. It’s all concreted in, so difficult to change. I will have to try to cover the gap with some rocks or something…

                          The Lilac tree flowers.

The Tulips are from Amsterdam. The dark ones didn't flower at all this year.

                          The Phacelia is soon ready.

The Polemonium with the light green colour on the right side was OH's choice last year and I can't deny that a change in colour looks good. OH might not have a clue about gardening but is definitely more risky than I ever have been.

Also the Polemonium with the darker leaves and flowers was OH's choice 3 years ago.

The Acer is coming nicely and the tree fern's third leave and it gets now even a fourth frond, I discovered this morning. I cut off 4 old ones which had damage from the recent winter.

I realise you need a microscope to see them, but, unusually, my Lonicera Bagenssen's Gold has some flowers this yr. The only reason I noticed is because the bees are all over them. Clearly size doesn't always matter.
