    @Sienna's Blossom I really like your Hawthorn, can you tell me the variety please?

    @shiney is that a spider in your first shot of the poppy?

      @Sheal Yes, I didn't spot it when actually taking the photo and didn't download it until a few days later. It's a crab spider and can change its colour to disguise itself whilst it waits for prey. It is quite strong for its size and also venomous but not harmful to humans.

      As far as I know they are only in the southern part of the country. It's rather early in the year to see them and I don't think that poppy is a particularly good place to set up home as the flower is too short lived.

                              I see those in my garden, They kill bees and suck the inside out of them. Sometimes I see a bee that looks as if it's just sitting on a flower, but on closer inspection it's just a hollow shell                              .
