I bought 2 small cistus plants from a plant supermarket and didn’t expect much at all but they must love where they’re planted, never watered or pruned at all.

Lovely Cistus. I have a new one I got from the half-price shelf at B&Q last autumn and it has been similarly smothered. Hope it gets as big as yours!

Camassia. I planted loads of bulbs in the autumn. The bees love them.

This is one of my new Clematis from Morrisons this year. It hasn't climbed much yet so it's producing these huge flowers just above the ground at the back of the border!

Some of the weeds were looking rather attractive with the sun highlighting them. Plantain and buttercups here.

We have very strong white sunshine caused by the dry air, which is not good for taking pictures.
The Tits have left their house over night from Thursday to Friday and I can now use the garden as I would like to do. While sitting in sunshine for some minutes, I observed what part of the Geum Totally Orange the insects actually use: The full flowers, not the ones that lost the pedals. I cut all older flowers. While sitting on the bench, I noticed that the garden has got lots of insects. The bees are less this year, but they are also on different parts like the wildlife bed with Phacellia and the blackberries which are flowering. They must have been on the crab apple tree a few weeks ago because I have never had so many crab apples as this year. I believe Monty Done said in his episode a few weeks ago that he also has an incredible amount of flowers.

                        The Veronica starts flowering.

The Tree fern gets its 7th leave. I can't believe it. Once more a proof what a little TLC does.

The Spirea Snowwhite flowers and I was wondering what insects use it because they are so fast and tiny. I was lucky with this one: seems to be a kind damselfly.

Lovely photos @simone_in_wiltshire :blue thumb:. I thought you might be interested to know that after a slow start, my tree fern is preparing for a record number of fronds this year. I can see 20 in various stages of formation at the moment :). Last year there were 12.

It’s obviously a good year for well kept tree ferns. I wonder why your fronds are coming all together and my ones one after another.
