I was prompted to look back at the life of Percy Thrower, the first TV gardening “personality”. What a life he had. The stuff of some sort of romantic fiction. I’d forgotten all about him setting up the Blue Peter garden. Never knew he had a falling out with Edward VIII and being rescued by Queen Mary. Amazing.
I love the physicality of gardening @NigelJ but I also like a comfy chair to collapse in afterwards or to pause in and admire the view(s) as I’m sure we all do. I have several around the garden, but please be reassured as we don’t have a patio and minimal hard-landscaping
Turns out, this might not only be garden centres... I've just had two boxes delivered, one from Farmer Gracy and another from You Garden with purchases I had completely forgotten about. I am a sick, sick man..
