Beautiful. Send some of that rain this way. We haven’t had any rain for months, everything is so dusty. I miss the freshness of rain.

Phuopsis stylosa, the Caucasian crosswort or large-styled crosswort, is a low-growing, mat-forming, aromatic perennial plant in the madder, or bedstraw family Rubiaceae. It has whorls of narrow, aromatic leaves and terminal clusters of tubular pink flowers.

I first saw it at Bodnant Gardens a few years ago and, luckily, it had a label. Currently trying seed - no germination yet but I remain hopeful:fingers crossed:

@Bluejayway i wander if you have tried this method

To grow Phuopsis stylosa (Caucasian Crosswort) from seed, you can either sow directly outdoors or start seeds indoors. Seeds germinate readily and can be sown in either spring or fall. If starting indoors, do so 4-6 weeks before the last frost. The seeds need light to germinate. Once seedlings have 2-3 true leaves, they can be hardened off and moved outdoors. Direct sowing can also be done, especially in spring or fall.

Thanks for that @Logan, I seem to have done it correctly - sowed them about 3 weeks ago in the greenhouse. I'm not known for my patience so maybe I need to learn that too:roflol:
