The cats from next door come round for some strokes and cuddles as their humans have moved out whilst having their house rebuilt. They come to feed them every evening and spend most Sundays with them. Three months so far with another month to go. The ginger cat has always been happy wandering and has a sleeping place in our greenhouse. The other cat is a house cat and has remained at home with the builders (walls knocked down, floors ripped up, windows out, walls moved) but is now locked out at night and seems to be settling to outdoor life quite well.

Mallow in the front garden, which pops up in any paving joints. Seems perfectly happy with next to no soil and no water!

A garden posy complete with ground elder which grows in abundance now. I just have to accept it as part of the garden now,

How pretty. Yellow loosestrife and purple toadflax? Have you tried eating your ground elder?

I haven't tried it myself - it's one of the few weeds I don't have! But it was introduced to Britain by the Romans as a pot herb. From what I read, you eat the very youngest shoots, either in a salad or cooked like spinach. And it's recommended not to eat it once it starts flowering, so it's a bit late for you this year.

Those arisaemas are stunning @NigelJ . So unusual - but you have many unusual plants :)

Her ladyship, C. Niobe has finally graced me with her presence. Lots of buds to open too, assuming the slugs will stay away long enough....
