@Michael Hewett that indigofera is splendid! I had one (not tinctoria I think) but it always looked a bit half hearted and didn't give a show like that.

Thank you @CarolineL, I've got two of them in big tubs and they usually put on a good display but this year they're exceptional.

Your astrantias are doing much better than mine, @CatDouch. :blue thumb: Really feeble leaves and misshapen flowers are my lot this yr. :dunno:

I can't take any credit for the astrantia looking good @ViewAhead  they're left to their own devices! They're planted in quite a shady area so they don't ever get frazzled by the sun.

I think the problem with mine is it is 20+ yrs old! Well, I say that, but I suppose the original might have died off and its seeds germinated and grown in its place. I may excavate the current scrappy strands and see if these liven up a bit if cosseted in a pot.

Just to prove I am not completely useless when it comes to growing blue Corydalis, this is a 3 yr old Calycosa covered in flowers and currently gratifyingly upright, though it may start to get a bit floppy as the flowers open fully ...

@Mrs Hilard, I must look out for that Heuchera. You may remember that I was looking for a rose to go with my cat Truffles, as I have Midnight Blue for Midnight cat. Truffles will have to make do with a Heuchera - I don't think he will mind!
