Not purchased it yet, but I just read a great tip online - use a Slinky tied to an upright batten as a support for a clematis.

Oh yes I saw that, or rather guessed it from the clickbait headline.

I like your geranium @Plantminded . I've got Rozanne, which is great. But I'm worried that in spring, before it's flowering, I'll pull it out because it looks like creeping buttercup! (A common weed in fields here.)

Put a stick in the ground overwinter to mark its spot, @CarolineL. That's what I do for Azure Rush. :blue thumb:

That geranium looks like it could be a good doer, @Plantminded.

I've got several like that @CarolineL. The anticipation of is it or isn't it adds an element of intrigue and then joy or outrage .

Not exactly my garden purchase, but a surprise from a group of friends, who knew we'd had to have our beloved dog, Maisie, PTS a few weeks ago. Not only was it a surprise, but no indication who it was from, though I guessed - and I was right. Such a thoughtful gift.

I just bought my first ever salvias. I am hoping they will provide colour for a number of months and bloom year after year - I might be hoping for too much! I'm currently trying to decide where to put them.

Good choice! I love salvias. They are very easy to propagate via cuttings too. I have been dead-heading all mine this weekend in the hope of a new flush of flowers.

I've never done progagating, I would love to have a go at it for these salvias.

I have been left home alone, and it's too hot to go for a good walk.

I'll just nip into the GC to see if they have anything on my wish list.

                        NOOOOO!!!! :yikes:

                        homealone1.png

Typha minima and trailing Rosemary were planned for. I'll divide and pot up Liriope and Anemone until autumn, both look bushy enough to give several plants.

I have no idea what a Teucurium is, but it promises to be low growing and evergreen, which is always handy. :)

And the tiny succulents forced themselves upon me, I have just bought some air dry clay and am planning to make some more chunky planters now that I have plenty of South facing windowsill space. The Euphorbia susannae is a novelty for me, I'll add better pictures later on.

Areca palm Dypsis Lutencens, a tenner from IKEA.

The small table that catches the evening sun and the funny reflections through the leaded bay window and glass door, used to house a huge Clusia that grew too wide from the bottom to pass comfortably. Then it housed some books, and now my lovely palm.

The books have been relocated on the floor, I might need a new trip to the cursed money grabbing store to buy and extension to my bookshelves. :th scifD36:
