Not sure what I'll do today. Deadheading anyway. Yesterday I did some work inside the shed - finished the floor at the back and started putting shelves up etc. I might need some more brackets. I also got round to stripping a window that a friend gave me when they upgraded their w'dows. The damn thing weighs a ton, but I managed to saw off all the wooden surrounds without breaking the glass! I'd done the other one I had, to use as a cold frame, but one of the panes broke later, so I just use the other bit now and again as it is for protecting pots of tulips or similar. It all needs cleaned up, but I might make a proper cold frame for when the gr'house falls apart completely, as I won't bother replacing that. It's always handy for overwintering cuttings etc.

Went out to check what I planted on Sunday and water as necessary. Only to discover that one plant had apparently not been planted, for a moment I thought I must have had a moment on Sunday and just forgot it, but no closer inspection showed the stems had been damaged and another nearby recently planted Salvia was at 45° to the vertical with some broken shoots. Now looks as if a largish creature had been nosing around possibly badger or fox and got a whiff of the BFB I mixed with the soil.

@shiney interesting about the Williams pears. We have one and didn't think that harvesting some now and leaving them for a few days would help to ripen them. Maybe we give it a go. Thank you.

Had to tackle the suckers from the Bay tree again. Amazing how quickly they spread and grow.

I just filled the car with 5 bags of garden waste including a broken clay pot. Have an appointment tomorrow morning with the tip.

Just emptied one compost bin, other one will be tipped into it and given a good soaking as the whole lot is incredibly dry.

@On the Levels I wouldn't try it unless you need to thin them out. They will do better on the tree. Ours were just too crowded.

Compost bins finished watered and covered, Found a cluster of grass snake eggs at the bottom of the dry compost bin, also came across a number of slow worms of different sizes.

Nothing much just watering and picking red and white currants and the Black berries are ready.

This morning was taken up with going to the fracture clinic for a another x-ray, things are doing well and have the plaster off in 3 weeks, then some physio.

I use BF&Bone when planting out anything new @NigelJ , but I don't use it in the fornt garden because of foxes. It's just more work sorting out the mess as they can get in there too easily!
I can only dream of needing to water compost bins....
Did plenty in the shed yesterday - got some shelves put up etc, and sorted through the junk ready for the bin. Need a few hooks/supports for various tools - mainly rakes, which I don't use very often, and a few more brackets, but I'm getting there. A paint job needed too - especially the ceiling, as that'll help lighten it all up. I'll carry on with that later.
Other than that - a couple of plants to put in and deadheading. The Acer I planted a few days ago is looking happy, so I'm pleased with that.

Glad it's going well @Logan. Picking fruit is enough 'strenuous exercise' for you just now!

We have rain, hooray!! So probably not much today.
Yesterday was volunteer day at Capel Manor, pruned a very overgrown Wisteria, then mostly weeding and watering.

@fairygirl, I painted the inside of our shed white, using left over emulsion from the house, a couple of years ago. It made a tremendous difference to the light levels, the various tools hung up on hooks seem to be more visible - and you can see where the big spiders are!!!
