It's certainly a big project bu well executed so far @shiney. Simon is a treasure.

I too use those bags for gardening @CanadianLori but mostly for transporting plants from fairs or GCs or for friends. They come in handy and are strong plus they hose clean easily.

Although bags are a good idea I have just bought some more of these - at an unbelievable price of £1

Crikey, @shiney, I'm getting vicarious backache just reading about your exertions. :hate-shocked: Don't go doing yourself a mischief.

I have now emptied the smaller propagator and dumped the filling in the skip We have kept the sand and gravel from the large propagator and stored it under the hedge
          upload_2025-10-28_15-42-21.jpeg

It also took a while to sweep the rubbish from the paving and bin it
          upload_2025-10-28_15-42-21.jpeg

I then decided that I needed to catch up a bit on the other jobs and started cutting down the beans and storing the canes but have had to pack up after only doing a quarter of them :phew: I was also being covered in dozens of ladybirds :rolleyespink: They tickle!

I've been doing the opposite and re-assembling. All a bit rough and ready but it works.

@Allotment Boy I don't mean to be rude, well, yes I sorta do. This thread is about the Shineyland greenhouse please. Perhaps repost in the what are we doing in the garden, this time with your pictures?

Sorry to stick my oar in but I begged for this particular project as a topic for a thread...

I reassembled my winter conglomeration:biggrin: a couple of weeks ago, but put the lid on it today.

Its rougher than yours @Allotment Boy.
I'll spare you all the pictures.

@shiney the left side is the "natural" style rocks? Or is it a continuation of the paving on the right? Sorry, I'm a little bit confused.

It's the same paving as the right. It is known as 'crazy paving' and is old and broken pedestrian paving. 50+ years ago I bought it at £1 a ton from the town council. That included delivery. What they called delivery was the lorry pulling up by our front verge and the men chucking it off the lorry onto the verge. As it was meant to be broken up anyway that didn't matter.

When we remove the concrete blocks that supported the greenhouse you will see that when we made our new patio at the turn of the century we laid it on top of the crazy paving. So that is higher than the crazy and I hope the new greenhouse will not be wider or longer than the old greenhouse. :fingers crossed:

I actually like the look of the crazy paving. It almost makes concrete look gentle.

I too hope the present dimensions work as is. :fingers crossed:

This reminds me of your Wallapini. Would the installers actually come and assess Shineyland before commencing?

I would guess they would, for a price! I don't even know where they are based as they were recommended by the greenhouse people who get them to install all their greenhouse and sheds on their site.

We'll see what it looks like first and if we can remedy any discrepancies. :fingers crossed:

My last ali greenhouse, a long while back, I needed to have a completely flat solid base for the frame to avoid any warping. I'd hazard a guess that a larger frame gets around a certain amount of bumpiness due to added weight
