Can you chase the surgery on the phone, @lizzie27, and ask for at least a phone consultation asap? Do stress the low oxygen levels. At the same time, I’d fill out one of those on line consultation forms if your surgery has them.
I have in the past used the online version of 111.nhs.uk, and found it can be very helpful. If you put all your symptoms in, it will give you advice on what to do next, which can range from call 999 for an ambulance, to contact your GP asap, or leave it for two weeks to improve.
If it tells you to contact your GP same day, that is really helpful when you then ring to ask for an appointment, to be able to quote what you have been advised.
Stroke of luck today, I’ve been chasing our favourite tree surgeons since July to look at a probably dead tree. They are very busy and very much in demand, but they returned my text this morning to say they were nearby, and could pop round. I will now write to the council, as we are in a tree conservation area, but the tree surgeons are also sending me a quote to cut our lengthy laurel hedge, and tidy up a row of overgrown rhododendrons. A good result.
I’ve done five loads of laundry! The tumble dryer is chugging along, and the laundry baskets are all empty, and OH is finishing off the edging on some wooden flooring.
My first sewing job will probably be hemming some ikea fabric I bought to make a tablecloth, @Obelix-Vendée. I’m ashamed to confess I’ve been using it anyway, and the frayed ends are getting worse! I have bought some ready made pockets to add to a summer dress before I put it away for the winter. Then I’m planning to order some Japanese cotton fabric to make OH a new kimono, his old one is getting very faded. I won’t tell him, but I think I will make the sleeves less voluminous! It won’t look as authentic, but it will reduce the risk of them trailing in his breakfast! He probably won’t notice!
I also hope @Goldenlily26 is ok. It’s always a worry not to hear from someone. Maybe she too has had an internet outage?

@Liriodendron you have to ask for notifications on your profile, I think. I get email notifications.

@Goldenlily26 was Joyce Goldenlily on GW, you were right @Penny_Forthem.

We went to Fountains Abbey today.

Thanks all for info re Goldenlily. @Busy-Lizzie , your pictures have brought back many happy memories for me. We used to take our children there, with a picnic and always had a great time. They liked the stepping stones over the water at the other end of the greenway where the shop is.

Good evening everyone. I see I have a fair bit to catch up on. First of all can I just add my concerns about @Goldenlily26. I too miss her posts. Gosh @Obelix-Vendée you certainly have a great deal of admin to do. Hope you had a great lunch. The knitting is just like a production line. I need to produce enough to add to the 'Crafty Ladies' table at our Christmas Fair. These are the next items once the 40 daisies are complete:
            Work in progress.jpg
@lizzie27 I do hope that you haven't been overdoing things in the garden. I was concerned when reading your post about you feeling lightheaded. @AuntyRach I go for the 'parfum' version too but I have so many sensitivities to many scented things that once I find one I can use I tend to stick to it. I cannot go near any type of scented candle and these are usually placed (inconveniently for me) near the check outs in town shops. I am limited to washing liquids for clothing etc as they all set me off coughing and when shopping in SMs I have to avoid the aisle with all the washing powders/kitchen cleaning products in. Its a nuisance but I have got quite good at holding my breath in those areas until I get clear of them .
Today a white van arrived at my neighbours' and a guy got out with scaffolding and ladders and eventually it became quite clear what he was doing. The neighbours were having their roof cleaned. Neighbour had moved her car in front of my house but I wasn't given any warning and when I went out to bin some rubbish I was sprayed with water from his power scrubbing brush. I then looked at the disaster that was my car. It was covered in crap off the neighbours' roof. I caught his attention and pointed at my car. He shouted down that he would rinse it all off and not to worry as it was just dust. Hmmm! Anyway, he did keep his promise and sluiced all the dirt off my car. I still would have been happier to have been able to move the car prior to the cleaning job starting.

No appointment with the bank yet @Ladybird4 as I had to wait for OH to get home from golf to make sure he'd be free on a market day. Loads of other admin done tho and some broad beans planted and seedlings watered.

OH and I are just back from dance class and have found Possum watching her recordings of the Graham Norton show. This one had Kim Kardashian wearing a very strange plastic dress thing which looked to be under some strain and she looked visibly bored when she wasn't the centre of the conversation. Horrid.

Interesting day tomorrow. Now that the leaves are falling we have found a huge Asian hornet nest in one of our ash trees so phoned the village council, as required by law. Someone will be round tomorrow to inject it with poison and then leave it for a day or two so all the ones still flying about in this very warm weather can get home and be poisoned too then someone will come and collect it and dispose of it. Loads of the blighters this year and not good for local bees so they're keen to come and get as many of the nests and their residents as possible.

Have a peaceful night everyone. Full moon tomorrow and it's very bright tonight.

                    Bonfire night.jpg
Good morning everyone and a happy bonfire night later. I am hoping for a quiet night after the noise last weekend. It is raining here too which would make things very unpleasant for being outside. I have no big plans for today, I will just let things evolve. It is my oldest nephew's birthday today and he is 46! I cannot believe it. I remember the lovely deputy head who allowed me time off work to go and see him and my colleagues who covered my classes for me. I remember this teeny person who had a shock of black hair that would have been the envy of any punk rocker and how overcome with love for him I was. Sis asked me then and there to be his godmother - which I was proud to be. He now has identical twin daughters in their second year at Durham University and a son who is in his A level year. Its amazing where all that time has gone!

                      Good morning to you all!

The sun has got his hat on, and he's coming out to play!! But not for long. Showers forecast up until Saturday. I must soak my broad bean seeds and sow later this afternoon.

@Penny_Forthem I am so sorry to read about your cousin. As we get older, friends and family get fewer. It's awful!

I remember Golden Lilly as being Joyce on the GW site. I hope she will pop up soon as will Ante. Some days just get away with you so fast.

Knitting was funny. NOT!! I have undone the whole thing. Bits of fairisle and all and have started again. I seem to have put on a wee bit around the middle since starting the garment - way back!! I watched Tom's programme on CH. 4 on Sunday evening. How can they knit a fair isle jerkin in 10 hours? So much counting and concentration needed!!

A trip to the markets this morning. No walks with my young companion. She has gym this morning. She coerced her parents into buying some dog biscuits in the form on little bones. I told her to keep them at her home and she and her sister can give Fizz 1 or 2 bones each on our return. She'd also wrapped up a stick for Fizz to catch - and had great delight in opening her own wrapped package!

Have a lovely day everyone. I hope the sun shines at some stage for you.

                        Good morning all.

I know what you mean about time passing so fast @Ladybird4. My oldest child, Daughter 1 will be 50 next year. Her oldest son is 20. I was looking at family photos with SIL at the weekend.

We may go to a GC today as Bestie wants tulips and hyacinths.

Good morning. Grey and cool so far but the sun is trying and we'll get to 19C this pm.

@Tui34 the Fairisle episode has received scathing comments from SOK - Shetland Organisation for Knitters - saying that the concept and techniques in Fairisle knitting were not understood by the programme makers.

We have ladies who knit and crochet quite complex patterns whilst managing to natter and advise others all whilst counting, increasing, decreasing. Amazing. However, they all - stitchers and woolies - say that faire and defaire (do and undo) all counts as work and learning.

Asian hornet man this pm and a man from SPANC tomorrow to confirm our septic tank system is OK. Clearly someone who speaks English and has a sense of humour came up with that name. It stands for Service Public d'Assainissement Non Collectif, in other words, septic tank system conformity inspections.

GC sounds good @Busy-Lizzie - plenty of scope for some Horticultural Retail Therapy.

Scary how time flies @Ladybird4. Even the last full moon doesn't feel like it was a month ago.

Still in Newport, Rhode Island. Will visit an interesting Museum today and some shops. And find another restaurant for dinner. Two more night sleeping here. Driving home Friday. Will be faced with tons of leaves on the lawn areas. Fun.

Glad you're enjoying your holiday @redstar. We've got loads of leaves coming down all over our lawn as well - OH went out today and mowed them but I'll bet it will look just as covered tomorrow.

Oh dear @Tui34, that sounds like a nightmare knit, I think I would be inclined to give up.

Hope your Asian hornet nest has been dealt with @Obelix-Vendée and that your septic tank gets the thumbs up.

I feel better today so have been having a go at digging out the wisteria roots/stump. Rather easier so far than anticipated, the roots being quite soft and pliable, even quite thick ones and the soil damp and easy to dig. One root in particular though is massive so OH will have a go with a handsaw on that one.

It's been a lovely, sunny, warm and dry day much to our surprise.

Hope everyone's had a good day as well.

We've been to a GC, had lunch out in a small market town, Masham, and visited a walled garden. The garden was well past it's best but we had a chat with the lady gardener.

It's been very mild 16C but it rained a bit this afternoon.
