Chicken. I always buy a whole one. First I roast it, and stuff it with day old bread, celery, onion, one egg, spices. We have dinner with it. Next day, plenty left for sandwiches, or day after that. Then there is chicken pot pie from scraps left over that might be in 4 days, or might freeze it. Then I take the whole carcass and put it in a big pot of water and simmer it for 4 hours. Get good bone broth out of that, little bits may still fall off. I use a strainer, get all bones out, its then I toss the bones. Liquid goes in a bowl, fat is raised. I may freeze that broth or use it in a few days. And that is one chicken.

My great grandmother didn't like fox hunting. We are going back to the 1950-60's but she would regularly tell the hunt to go away when they came to her land. She was a very fierce woman when she wanted to be apparently and stood just under 5ft. I remember the story of the hunt driving a fox onto her land, she let it into her barn and told the hunt where to go.

The beginning, or rather, the continuation of the beginning of the end, to the UK , it’s culture and its traditions. Soon they will be gone including Englands green and pleasant land. I’m glad I won’t be around to see the end result.

I think all celebrations of all kind should be scrapped now as it doesn't matter which side you are on there is always some huffery, all hoilday's to be a work day now, that will also help Rachel from accounts :stirpot::stirpot::stirpot::stirpot::stirpot::stirpot::stirpot::stirpot::stirpot::stirpot::stirpot::stirpot::coffee::coffee::coffee:

Modern Santa Claus is a capitalist construct from the Christian St Nicholas.
We should go back to the Pagan celebration of the passing of the shortest day (Death of the Old Year) and birth of the New Year.

Near where I live they do fox hunting. There are two main properties, one called the King Ranch and one called the Hannum Acres, I only heard the Hannum acres is over 5 Thousand acres. The King Ranch is greater than that, a road runs between their acres. Anyway, Hannum Acres has a Hound barn for their dogs, and yearly put on a show, all dressed in those red jackets and horns riding along with their dogs. They also house guest horses who come there to train for the Olympics. Both keep their properties looking awesome, and it is a treat riding one of the roadways through alongside their properties.

Is the fox hunting a conservation tactic or just "sport" @redstar ? Does your community eat fox meat at all ? Despite our fox hunting tradition here, I never heard of fox meat being available as food.
