    Hello,
I've recently moved into a new house and the garden contains many plants which I'd like to identify. I'd be very grateful if anyone could idenify any of the plants from the attached photos. Thanks very much.

    Hello and welcome keentolearn.
Not sure on all of them, but here are my suggestions:

1 Possibly Butchers Broom, Danae racemosa.
2 No idea really, maybe be an unhappy looking Griselinia?
    3 Hydrangea.
4 Looks like Beauty Berry, Callicarpa.
5 Again, not too sure, but could be the winter flowering honeysuckle Lonicera fragrantissima.

Sorry I can't be more definite, but they're a knowledgable bunch on here so I'm sure someone will come up with the answers if I'm wrong.

          1. Thank you Dave.
Been driving me nuts trying to remember the name.
Tried Erica and Calluna. Had a mental block on Daboecia. Looks good to me!

Daboecia cantabrica alba - Google Search

          5. By the way forgot to mention that it is not Lonicera/ honeysuckle as they all have opposite pairs if leaves.

very grateful for the quick replies

Silver surfer, Dave, Trunky and Stumorphmac,
I'm very grateful for you for taking the time to reply so quickly -I had no real idea of whether I'd get any replies or not or whether they'd be of much use. It seems that you've agreed on:
              1 Daboecia
              3 Hydrangea
              4 Beauty berry

              2 possibly Ceratostigma
              5 possibly Blueberry
In fact, I've just been out to inspect both plants for any sign of flowers or berries and I did indeed find a solitary blueberry on no. 5 so well done and thanks silver surfer. As for no.2, I'll just have to keep an look out for flowers and any changes in leaf colour. Thanks again to all four of you for your help.
Actually, these are just five out of 16 plants in my garden which I'd like to identify so I'll also post pictures of the other eleven in a seperate message. Thanks again.
